Re: Pets, pets and more pets

Kind of a funny story about my cats: I have been having "issues" (i.e. perimenopause is making me lose my mind), and it got the best of me the other night and I had a bit of a cry while sitting on my couch. Max, my beloved life companion of 18 years, got up and left me to go and sleep on t...

Thanks Indigo, kind of a long story but Boudreau picked his own name. :)

Such a nice story about Luna, its wonderful to be the recipient of kitty love.

Re: Bit famous, bit fit.... In other words 'Swoon'

I haven't checked to see if he's already in this thread, but I've been watching the Lord of The Rings trilogy over the last few weeks, and I think Karl Urban qualifies as a bit famous, and he is certainly fit: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/corrieknits/KU3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: Pets, pets and more pets

Thanks everyone! I love my kitties and I've enjoyed looking at the pics of everyone's pets as well.

Re: Whatcha readin?

I'm currently struggling my way through One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. He's one of my favourite authors, and I am enjoying the book, but it's a bit of a hard read. My goal is to finish it this month though - it's on my Things To Do list. :)

Re: Pets, pets and more pets

This may or may not be pics of my three kitties, depending on whether I can get it to work or not: Max (the furry love of my life - he's 18 years old and I've had him since he was around two months old. He's "quirky", and totally not into posing for photos, hence the look on his face) http...

Re: The Tour Posters

Poster for the 4/22 Toronto show never went on sale due to another misprint - they misspelled the band's name. Merch table staff said it will go on sale through Massey Hall website in about a month. - too bad they weren't on sale (and what the heck is wrong with the printers Massey Hall uses), I 'm...

- he was wearing a two piece denim thing. Which did look leisure suitish but fit him quite well. He fills out a pair of trousers quite nicely.

Re: Another (non professional) review of last night's show

Thanks Suzy! I did mean to reply in the Toronto thread and not start a new topic, can we move new threads on our own or does Sherry have to do it (I have asked her to do so)? Really, my photos are unrecognizable as anything but two human forms covered in white lights. I could post them in a web boar...

Another (non professional) review of last night's show

I saw the guys for the first time last night, the show was wonderful. Eugene Mirman opened for them - he was terrific (I have to admit I find him oddly attractive), and got a lot of laughs. One of his longer bits was a rant against Delta Airlines, who apparently lost his luggage on a recent flight. ...

Re: HBO Flight of the Conchords Show - Season Two- Ep 10

I finally got to see the whole episode, and I loved it. I agree with Mohumbai Mania, it was kind of bittersweet, but a great send off nevertheless. I really liked the New Zealand stuff at the end. Did any of the off off off Broadway Murrays look a a little like Jim Carrey to any of you? Sad to see t...

Re: 10 Things About You

Whenever anyone says they're from the east side of Canada I always somewhat feel like they're from Michigan too...or at least they're our whacky, but lovable, neighbors. We're like the weird neighbours next door who use extra "u"s in words, drink a lot of tea and say "eh" all th...

Re: 10 Things About You

1. I grew up in Parry Sound, Ontario, a small town of 5,000 on Georgian Bay, a bay off of Lake Huron in Canada. I didn't even live in town until I was nine or ten years old so I was definitely a country girl. Now I live in Toronto so I'm all sophisticated and stuff. Southern Ontario REPRESENT! I'm ...

Re: 10 Things About You

My turn, me thinks (: 1. I'm a vegetarian. It has been about a year and 3 months, bit longer. I like it and i'm really proud of myself. That is probably the most interesting thing about me unfortunately, but i'll try and think of more... I'm vegetarian also, I stopped eating meat around three and a...

Re: HBO Flight of the Conchords Show - Season Two- Ep 9

I only saw the first part of the episode (up to the "mugging"), but after hearing talk of "shirtless" and "honey", and I'm so catching the rest of it tonight. Youwsa! The scene with Bret in the Petland, and Jemaine and Dave in the car made me laugh.out.loud. Bret looked...
