Re: The Muppets!

I noticed this while reading the news the other day and thought it was pretty cool: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/mar/06/the-muppets-tv-return Go Bret!  I imagine things must be rather exciting for him at the moment. Thanks to all of you for the lovely photos, videos and articles...

Re: Bret set to star in the film "Two Little Boys"

May I also take the time out to say how excited I am about Hamish and Andy filming their TV show in London next year. Aaahh! I had no idea, thanks for the heads up. :) I keep seeing those infuriatingly cryptic 'Filming Location' signs near where I live and hoping it's something cool, while knowing ...

Re: Bretoure: The Fashion Flights of Bret McKenzie

I'm going to a Christmas party where the dress code is 'cheesy festive jumpers' 8) and while browsing online for a suitably kitsch garment, I found this rather awesome Ebay store: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/princesvintage/wildlife-/_i.html?_fsub=1695658017&_sid=147556587&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 ...

Re: F of the C in your life

I'll bet they're not getting any royalties for that one, lol. Hehe, I've noticed a quite few uncredited homages/rip-offs here and there - a few weeks ago there was a cartoon strip in the newspaper featuring robots singing protest songs in binary code  I wish somebody would get busy on that nu...

Re: F of the C in your life

I was birthday-card shopping in Paperchase (a fairly quirky stationery shop) yesterday, and saw one which had a cute cartoon drawing of a cat with a cup on its head - I didn't even think of the connection until I looked at the message inside, which was 'I told you I was freaky.' I'd love to know whi...

Re: F of the C in your life

I had to smile when I saw this advert for Malibu rum a few weeks ago - surely they drew inspiration from the Boom King! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3u9FC3raAUQ

Re: Hello from London :)

Aww, thanks for all the warm welcomes!
Nonch, I studied English Literature - although the moment, career-wise, it seems as if inspiration for online usernames might be the most productive use of my degree! :read: (I like this forum's extensive smiley library!)

Re: Hello from London :)

'Other attributes' Yeah, they are rather therapeutic in that aspect too! I have indeed heard the radio series, though on Youtube rather than when it was first aired. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have been on the first bus to Shepherds Bush :) I did really enjoy listening to it though...

Hello from London :)

Hi  I've posted in the HBO series forum, but thought I'd take up the invitations to introduce myself here! I'm a 22-year-old London girl, and I first got into the Conchords in 2007 after seeing the One Night Stand show on BBC3, shortly before the first series began. I'm just finishing my final...

Re: Writers

Thanks! :) I didn't notice any difference outright, but looking back it could be that the flow of the narrative and jokes in those episodes is a bit tighter - not at all dissing the others, but I guess it might be something that comes with practice in writing for a particular format or medium. Altho...

Writers

Hi from a forum newbie :D Apologies if this has been covered before, but I couldn't see it anywhere, so... I was just wondering what fans of the show's thoughts were on if/how the scripts differ in the episodes by guest writers? I've only recently realised that some of my favourite episodes were wri...
