You know, I haven't even seen any previews for this film, but now I have to go see it! Thanks for the review Kate!

I recommend Tristram Shandy : A Cock and Bull Story.

It has Steve Coogan in it...isn't that enough to inspire you to see it ?

Random movie trivia for you:

According to Sam Scott, the singer of The Phoenix Foundation, his family dog Barney (a labra-doodle) was recorded to get the sound of King Kong sleeping. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I thought that was kind of cool. I particularly got a kick out of it, since we always joke about hiring our dog out for people making a movie needing a monster/demon sound. He sounds quite impressive when he's playing tug with his rope toy.

OK, so I got to see XMen 3 a while back  I think I managed to get through that with only one comment from The Bloke about my overly long sigh at Wolverine :P Awww my Bloke

But arghhhhhhhhh POTC 2 is out next week. Forget Plankman (Bloom), Johnny Depp is back on our screens, giving another excellent turn I am sure. I'm so looking forward to this movie. Anyone else got any summer films they are waiting to go see?

They should've picked Hugh Jackman as the new James Bond.

I agree JP. Hugh 'Hum a na Hum a na' Jackman would have made an excellent Bond.

I was watching AFI's tribute to Sean Connery the other night and Daniel Craig did a little prerecorded thing for it and IMHO he has the personality and sex appeal of a rutabaga.

Yes, but how do you really feel about him?

:rolls:

I have to admit, Craig was not near the top of my Bond preference list. Fancy the makers never even thinking to ask me  :hrmpf:

I still think Clive Owen would have been good. Or this man

Alas, he is tied to filming Rome for 5 years, or else he would have...

*sighs at what might have been*

I seem to remember reading that Hugh Jackman chose not to be 007. I could be wrong, though.

A man in blue tights, a red cape and a codpiece

I could go for that

Seriously though, was it decent? I'm not a Superman fan tbh, but if its a good popcorn summer film I'd give it a whirl.
