OK that's not embarrassing at all!

Hey did any of you catch episodes 15 & 16 of the most recent series (in the US) of The Biggest Loser? - those two episodes were filmed in NZ. More specifically in Auckland (my city!), and Queenstown. We are a couple of seasons behind (as per usual!) but I read about them filming here and had to search it out...

Here are linkees just in case you missed them and want to watch: (if you don't have a megavideo account you can watch 72mins for free, but then you have to wait an hour before you can watch any more).

Episode 15: http://www.megavideo.com/?d=J1KBW072

Episode 16: http://www.megavideo.com/?d=IYU1OAZS

I love watching stuff like this - buffs my national pride 'n all! But I also found it hilarious cos I think they must've been contractually bound to say the words 'New Zealand' a certain number of times - it was repeated over and over and over! And I swung between amused and annoyed at the soundtrack which seems to heavily feature the digeridoo and other Australian Aboriginal music. :bang: *Sigh*

I don't know and I must say, it's not really good news for a 'would-be' groupie is it? :?

Has anyone got the full sized pic of that photo of Bret?

I love it!!! Are they having a Figwit pout off? :rolls: I've never seen that shot of B before. :dunno:

The last line in this article is great, "Participants weren’t asked if they trust this type of survey."

I will check out the Biggest Loser vids after work.

Thanks for the links H, I was actually looking for those at one point.

I trust Bret more than I trust Jemaine.

Heh - I saw this too. It explains a lot, really - I trust Bret more, and I've always kind dug good, honest, trustworthy boys. :)

He's so cute! I hope he makes it too.
I didn't realise those penguins were so darn big - apparently they can grow to over 1m (3ft!) tall!

Aw, Happy Feet looks so lonely on Peka Peka Beach. He probably doesn't understand why he hasn't seen any of his friends in so long.

If he can't be relocated to Antarctica, send him up to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. They have an awesome penguin habitat, and Happy Feet would have snow to eat and friends galore.

Poor little Happy Feet came through two operations, but his condition is critical.

Poor Happy Feet. Red tape delays his return home:

Hoping for the best, for ya, little buddy.

Oh wow! Poor penguin! That's really cool how they're taking care of him....I hope he'll do well enough to be released. :)

Oh! Meant to post that in the Harry Potter movies, the death Eater's masks are partly inspired by Maori facial tattoos! :)

Each mask worn by Voldemort's followers was a unique design created by conceptual artist Rob Bliss, though their overall look (see the following two) was inspired by Maori facial tattoos as well as some notoriously frightening icons. "There's certainly a bit of Jason's hockey mask to them," says production designer Stuart Craig. "And also Hannibal Lecter's mask from The Silence of the Lambs."

Heh, that's cool to know about the masks. I couldn't really see though when I looked at it - :dunno:

I love that the whole world seems to be interested in the welfare of our little Happy Feet. I reckon he'll either be released in the ocean somewhere (since they can't actually take him back to Antartica because of the treaty) or he'll have a new life at one of the zoos - or maybe Kelly Tarltons underwater world. I hope he finds new buddies soon!

Well, the little guy went through yet another surgery to flush the sand and crap out of his stomach:

Keep thinking good thoughts for the little fella.

Another NZ episode of a well-known TV programme to be seen online.
This time it's Man Vs Wild shot in NZ's South Island.

It's a good episode - you get to see how rugged it can be down there. At least he knew he wasn't going to be eaten by anything big and growly, or stung by anything poisonous while he was out bush here, but I think he's mad choosing to go west over the mountains rather than east over the plains. But then, what the heck do I know about outdoor survival? I felt cold just watching it! One thing I do know though, he made a booboo - right at the end he is standing on the west coast, looking west, and he says 'next stop Argentina, almost half a world away' - or something like that. :puzzled: Um, no. Argentina is east. Australia is west. Oops! (Actually now he's got me doubting myself... but I'm pretty sure...)!
