Biscuit- apparently they were referred to as a "Golf" here up until a few years ago; I am not sure why it is now a rabbit. However, the rabbits on the winter floor mats (it kills me that this car came with a set of winter mats and a set of summer ones) were a feature I did find appealing when I saw them :)

I had not even been considering a VW until I happened to go and see this one; what I have really wanted is a Mini Cooper. I just love 'em. Don't love their price tags so much though. I didn't think I could afford a VW but with this one being used and manual shift it all kind of fell into place...my husband has already called dibs on it once his car goes. Then I get me Mini! Maybe.

Carol, my Nissan that I traded in was named Midge and she was definitely a she! I have always named my cars and so do many of my female (or gay men) friends. What's up with that?! I had a Jeep Wrangler named Elmo, a Jeep Cherokee named Chuck, for a short time a Nissan pick-up truck named Xena (it was the XE model; I totally should have outfitted her with a leather bra over the headlights!) and then there was Midge. This car I am not sure of yet; it strikes me as more boy than girl so I was thinking Jack since it's a rabbit and all.

MM, I feel your pain. Talk about suckola.

I was so excited to find a vintage clothes store last Friday that I bought a bright red 50s style dress for $8 that only fits if I plan on not breathing while wearing it. :?

I used to have a blue 50s dress that fit exactly the same! I could only wear it on my very skinniest of days, but when it fit, boy, did I love wearing it!

It fits like a 2nd skin but is stretchy so I figured it would be okay. However, the band under the boobs doesn't give & crushes my ribs when I breathe in.

Oooh! I can relate to the breathing thing because mine was all cotton and there was no give in the bodice. But that was a few sizes ago......

Bumping this up - I went grocery shopping the other day, and bought organic Gala apples as usual, but for the first time they were from...New Zealand!!! :whitey: And may I say they look and taste ten times better than any I've bought recently. :tonqe:

I saw New Zealand apples in Randazzo's yesterday...but they wanted $2 a lb! Hmph.

Today, the last thing I bought was a much-needed pair of new tennies. Easy Spirit, on sale at JC Penney with a coupon for an extra $10 off if you spend $50. Good deal! :)
