Biscuit- apparently they were referred to as a "Golf" here up until a few years ago; I am not sure why it is now a rabbit. However, the rabbits on the winter floor mats (it kills me that this car came with a set of winter mats and a set of summer ones) were a feature I did find appealing when I saw them
I had not even been considering a VW until I happened to go and see this one; what I have really wanted is a Mini Cooper. I just love 'em. Don't love their price tags so much though. I didn't think I could afford a VW but with this one being used and manual shift it all kind of fell into place...my husband has already called dibs on it once his car goes. Then I get me Mini! Maybe.
Carol, my Nissan that I traded in was named Midge and she was definitely a she! I have always named my cars and so do many of my female (or gay men) friends. What's up with that?! I had a Jeep Wrangler named Elmo, a Jeep Cherokee named Chuck, for a short time a Nissan pick-up truck named Xena (it was the XE model; I totally should have outfitted her with a leather bra over the headlights!) and then there was Midge. This car I am not sure of yet; it strikes me as more boy than girl so I was thinking Jack since it's a rabbit and all.
MM, I feel your pain. Talk about suckola.
