I usually buy them on eBay but I only needed a few so picked up a baggie of 12 at- of all places!- Walmart, for $3.99! They're exactly the same and they say Swarovski, they sparkle like crazy. You can get more for your money online or at least I've found that. I haven't really been to any shops, though a friend took me to a bead place once a few yrs ago. I thought we were in Royal Oak but it's close, so maybe!
I'll have to check it out. :)

Yes, and they are handing out coupons like no tomorrow if you have a card. They're having a big sale this holiday weekend...

A new hot water heater.... :?

Jake had no school today so I slept in. When I got up and started my coffee, I noticed Tom's cell was on the counter. "Uh-oh....he forgot it," I thought.
Then, I went into the bathroom and his work clothes were hung on the door. I was all :wtf: and asked Jake and he said "I don't know....I keep hearing noises in the basement."

I look down there and the light is on. Tom should've been gone for 3 1/2 hours at this point....so I'm thinking he went down there and had a heart attack and is lying on the ground down there crawling or convulsing or something. So I go flying down there yelling "Tom?!?!" and he says "What?"

He's down there with the wet/dry vac sucking water off the floor. There was no hot water this morning so he called in and began cleaning up and draining the rest of the water.

We managed to find a really good one for a very good price. He's still working on the installation.....hoping for a hot shower in the morning! I boiled water to wash dishes.....

There is nothing worse than boiler trouble, especially in the dead of winter. Sorry you had to bite the bullet and get a new one. :?

I hate when stuff like that happens. A new boiler is just never a fun, exciting purchase!

My only non-grocery purchase recently has been two books from the used book store. Glamorous, I know.

Oh wow Laura! It seems like those things always seem to hapen at the most inopportune times :( Glad your husband was able to fix it right away.

Let's see the last thing I bought was the new eye cream from Bare Esentuals (actually my husband got it for me while he was away on business, bit it was on my list so it counts right?)

Amoxicillin for my stupid tonsil.

And a new radiator for my even more stupid car.

I am not a fan of this week. However it could be worse; surgery instead of meds and not having a working car, right?

I am trying to be more "La, La, la" :whitey: in mentality. I think cupcakes would help.

I bought some fake moss rabbits to put in the garden, my sister is having her 30th as a Cocktails in Wonderland theme, and I thought they'd be a nice touch :)
