I agree SW and Nancy. This show is getting really boring. The debate and Kardashian episodes were iffy once those skits were finished. I hope they get some new talent to spark some fresh fun into the show.

I mean, they can't have Alec Baldwin or Justin Timberlake every week. Those are my favorite shows by far.

I want to see Vanessa Bayer's Child Stars Of Tomorrow character again. Both Amy and I roared when she did it with Scarlet Johansson. It seems that they only repeat Kristen Wiig's characters, and they've run their course as far as I'm concerned. They need to use other women. Why are they paying Abbey Elliott? She's window dressing. :|

Me too!
As for Abbey Elliott, my opinion is that she needs to move on to something else.

Andy has lost his appeal for me. Bill Hader's really good though.

I like Abby but she's been there for a few seasons now and she's never been anything more than a side character.

Vanessa Bayer...I'm still not sure about.

I really think Kenan Thompson has to go. I don't see any range at all. He has the same expression and voice for every character. And I think they're underusing Jay Pharoah.

If Bill Hader leaves anytime soon, my reason for watching SNL will be lost.

I don't care much for Vanessa Bayer. The only thing I think of when I see her is her Miley Cyrus impression, which is pretty cool!

I really like Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, and Jason Sudeikis,

Andy's digital short this week was embarrassing, imo.

I usually look forward to the digital shorts but they've been exceptionally weak this season. I wonder if it has anything to do with Akiva and Jorma leaving as writers. I believe they still work on the shorts together but maybe now, the process is a little different since the both of them aren't there regularly and Andy still is.

Ditto.

Kristen Wiig is simply too good for the show.

I just don't laugh at Kristen. I know my daughter thinks she's the funniest thing, I just find her characters very one note. She'll do one character on the news that talks fast, eh, not funny , Bill Hader's Stefan is a thousand times funnier. And I might just be too old to find anything funny about the one with the huge forehead and teeny hands. :dunno:
I slept through most of Saturday's show. :|

The little hands thing = wtf? I didn't get it the first time & it's now become a reocurring thing - blech. Kristen's usually not funny on Weekend Update either, true. She's done a wide variety of characters though and I think she does them all exceptionally well even if they are poorly written, which is often the case.

I loved Stefon for like 3 segments but in tradional SNL style they have milked it, turned it into a dead horse and then beat the crap out of it.

But when he puts his hands over his face to laugh, I don't know why, but I giggle. Obviously, now it's a bit, but I still watch Seth to see if it breaks him up.

I was confused by that. The first time I saw him cover his face he was really laughing so that's obvioulsy funny but now he does it so often I wasn't sure if it's part of the character or him thinking he's going to laugh and covering it up.

I finally got around to watching all of last week's ep - it was very painful.

I just saw a little bit of that one and it seemed to miss the mark, but I will be watching this week - Jason Segal's hosting, and maybe some little felty friends may show up to plug the movie.

He was on The Daily Show last week playing Ben Franklin....it was ridiculous yet funny. :D Josh Gad is going to be big....I think he's on the verge.
