I knew they'd leave important stuff out...they always do. And blah on Lavender and the teeny stuff. That's why I have such high hopes that DH will be the best of the bunch with it being split! They shouldn't have to leave out a lot.

Ugh....I hope they don't take away the ambiguity of a certain argument I had with many a person from, hell- almost the beginning! People are supposed to wonder and not be sure....

What did you guys think of Narcissa? She looked too old in pics...how'd she come across?

Did you guys see the photoshopped nude pic of Dan from an Equus pic? It was so good, we'd argued over whether it was the real deal, lol.

Anyone here ever read Snape fanfics, perchance?

I didn't like the casting of Narcissa AT ALL.

I always imagined her to be beautiful but cold, sort of like Nicole Kidman, you know, porcelain skin etc.

And they didn't explain the relationship with Tonks & Lupin, just sort of was THERE.

I hate when they just expect that the entire audience has read the books and "here.....they're together. You knew it, we don't need to explain it."

That's how I "saw" Narcissa, too. Willowy, porcelain, and beautiful. Jason Isaacs is prettier than movie Narcissa....

Yeah, I found that a bit weird. I mean, I know that they can't include everything but I guess they just assumed everyone knew the relationship between them from the books. Maybe they'll get more into things like that in the next two. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of Fred and George screen time. I know they're not in this book much, but they're my favorites and I wish we could have seen more of them.

Much like Luna, I wish she had more screen time.

I think they did that because her and Dan Radcliffe seem to have more chemistry than he did with Ginny....

I'm really excited to see the movie, but I know they always tend to be somewhat confusing or leave important stuff out. Or add too much romance, ugh.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Review

A movie review I found over at televisionwithoutpity.com that I pretty much agree with, especially the part about the need to add the scene of the burning of the Burrow. What was the point?

Hey Gang!

I am off to see HBP now ! It is playing at the Cine Capri. A tad more expensive but well worth it yeah !!! (and a bit early, starbucks instead of dp)

I simply can't wait, and frankly neither can my friends, they want to chat about it and I am just about the only one in group that hasn't seen it.

Cheers!

I really really liked this movie. They left out a lot from the book, but the movie flowed, so if you never read the book you could still follow story line perfectly.

Rickman was terrific. And these kids are growing up! The next two movies are gonna be so action packed that I am glad this one did a good job explaining things.

When it ended I said, "wow that was 2 and 1/2 hours?" It flew by, no slow points at all.

How is that for talking about HBP without telling anything? Ha, I was being very careful! :)

Laura, I hope you get there on Monday, it is so incredible! :D

I know....it's been killing me to avoid the opening weekend.... :nails: I'm so excited to see my Severus after what you guys have all said! It's about time he gets showcased more....so glad they didn't cut his stuff. (Not that they could in certain scenes....)

Tom's off next week and the following Mon and Tues, so we all get to go! Yay!
