Actress: without a doubt Cate Blanchett. I remember seeing her in a couple of plays in Sydney when I was doing drama at school*, so that would have been 14 or 15 years ago now. And the movie Elizabeth, which came out a few years later, was the first I owned on dvd. I've seen just about all her movies and love her choices and her amazing talent. Plus she just seems like a lovely, cool, down-to-earth person
Actor: I would be hard pressed to choose between Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. Both lovely, funny, devastatingly intelligent men. Plus Hugh is call kinds of hot.
Author: Probably Arundhati Roy. My favourite novel is The God of Small Things, and she's a very interesting active political voice.
