I totally love the "Bret" sweater ornament, and the "Uke" ornament. How cool, and yep, they are great together, great tree!!!

nonchalant obsession wrote:The ukulele ornament was a gift. I'll see if I can find out where she got it and pm you. It is so cute with it's tiny wire strings. The detail is amazing. It has miniature tuner pegs on the back and the frets are actually inlaid, not painted. It is freakishly realistic. I adore the palm trees painted on it. *sigh* Vanuatu, on the beach, in a hammock, playing my uke. You used to have a uke, SheWolf? Do you ever think about getting one? I adore mine.
No, never considered a real one.

I found a uke ornament here:

and one here but better than that are the Hawaiian Santa ornaments. I want every one!

Now I sing "I want a hiphopopotamus for Christmas!" :sing:

Dude. I showed this to my 2 and half year old niece this weekend. We listened to/watched it 26 times...18 of which were in a ROW.

I purchased it off of Amazon, burned it onto a CD and sent her home with it. Heh heh heh :snakeman:

Here are some pics of Christmas lights in central London that I took earlier today whilst getting some Christmas shopping done. :)

Lovely pics, Venus. I must say that London is one of my most favorite cities in the world. My mom doesn't want me to ever go back because she's afraid I'll stay for good. She's right to be afraid though because I would love to live there one day.

From today's Santa Lucia celebration:)

My brother and his family came over for an early Christmas dinner (seeing as we won't be celebrating Xmas together this year) and then my three kids and their two cousins dressed in white and sang the Lucia song and gave us traditional Lucia buns, lussekatter. Christiania was Lucia, as usual, wearing the Lucia crown with candles on it.

Oh that was so beautiful. Just precious, biscuit. They are so cute. No hot wax burns?

Venus, I loved the photos of London. Breathtaking.

Re: the deer jumper ornament on my tree...Ha! Someone gave me that in a gift exchange many years ago and I always thought it was nice, but kind of random. I always placed it towards the back of the tree. This year when I pulled it out, it brought an instant smile to my face and yes, now it has special meaning for me and it hangs front and center.

My dad hasn't felt very Christmas-y in years. :| I think I'll do something about that and buy at least a Christmas tree for the house. :)

Also I was getting excited cause it was starting to get cold and now it's 75Ëš outside. :< Meh, Florida.

Venus- WOW. I'd have to find a spot and just sit with a large mocha cappuchino and take it all in- it's so beautiful! The building that's completely covered in red lights- wow. (I suck at finding proper descriptive words, lol.) Thanks for posting these, I envy all that loveliness. :)

biscuit- that was so sweet! When their voices got higher at the end.....I was smiling so big! Bravo to them!!

nonch....that deer jumper ornament was a prescient gift..... 8)

Digi- I think it's really cool of you to do that...I hope it perks him up and gets him in the Christmas spirit! :)

Aw Biscuit they're so cute! What a great tradition.

Digi - I can relate. Its been in the 40s and rainy here for the last couple of weeks and then I wake up today and it sunny and 75 degrees! Not that I'll complain too much. As a matter of fact I'm about to go to the dog park with the pupples and take advantage of the sunshine while it lasts. BTW, what part of FL do you live in? I grew up in a little town outside Orlando so I remember wearing shorts and t-shirts many of my childhood Christmases.

Jacksonville... but yeah. It sucks cause I have all my winter PJs all out and I end up wearing shorts and a t-shirt due to it warming up. :( Not to mention the on/off cold gets me sick.

Go take your pups for a playday. ;)
