I'm glad everyone seems to have had a pretty good Christmas. DT, it's good to hear that you're feeling better and got lots of rest. I'm sorry that your family is so blind to the fact that you're pretty darn special just the way you are. You deserve their love and respect not judgement and blame. I'm glad you just let it wash over you as you said.

My Christmas was quite nice and surprisingly peaceful and drama free most of the time. A couple of weeks ago my parents gave me a new laptop so for Christmas I received a couple of gift cards to buy a case and some software with. I also got some Bath & Bodyworks stuff and a big tin of my MIL's delicious homemade toffee and caramel corn. My husband's 17 year old brother is a really talented artist and he drew portraits of our 3 dogs and had them matted for us. They are just beautiful. He did an amazing job and I teared up when I unwrapped them. I can't wait to frame them and hang them up.

I'll take pics and post them when we get home. Currently we're 10 hours into our 13 hour drive back to Austin.

DT, sorry your family wasn't nice to you - hey, you be nice to our DT!!! :hammer: Glad you're feeling better, at least. :goodman:

Laura, it looks and sounds as though you had a good time, except...scorpions??

Red, I look forward to seeing those portraits. What a nice, personal gift!

Vmh, a cookie party! :P  :tonqe: :yay:

Biscuit, glad you got a new camcorder! :sing:

Gracie, I thought of Amy's Kevin as the Secret Santa, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't have an extra $1,500 to give to his Mom, sister, and himself. My thoughts are leaning toward his brother, who is doing a role in Billy Elliot on Broadway, which is a pretty decent weekly salary. He and Amy did Hairspray together, and he's the reason Amy met Kevin. Of course, I want to believe it was really Santa, but if it wasn't, my guess would be Kevin's brother.
Oh, fish-like Lady
Lady-like Fish
I don't think so Bro, she's a Lady, Lady, Lady, Lady
No, no, she's a fish that's just a little bit
La-dy-ish! Yeah!

Haha, I just can't help my curiousity. And I completely forgot about Santa!

Detective Nancy is on the case! :thumb: Oooo, Billy Elliot on Broadway! :yay: That would be a decent salary.

A belated Merry Christmas to everyone! You all sound as if they had such a lovely holiday.

Gracious, Nancy, those sure are some gifts. My, there sure are some truly remarkable people out there, aren't there?

I got quite a pleasant haul this year, surprisingly. I received the Flight of the Conchords BBC Radio 2 Series (as my original was stolen some time ago), Rhys Darby: Imagine That!, Tim Minchin: Rock & Roll Nerd, Tim Minchin: Ready For This? and Adam Hills: Characterful & Joymonger. My father also bought me a Business Time shirt that fits me like the ugly, old baggy one that I got from my team building exercise in '99.

It's become my nightie.

I also snagged myself an iPod touch which I've been entertaining myself with for days. A few necklaces, a few articles of clothings, two scarves, a new ukulele stand + clip on tuner and a Best of Bowie CD.

Great topic, Nancy!
everyone seems to have gotten some nice swag...and then some.....$500 wow !
nothing of note here, except a lovely little cardboard cutout
FOTCcutout.jpg

I'm not even sure where one would put this, except maybe at a cable/sattlelite company's front desk :hrm:
only about 12 inches tall, it's a little hard to take Bret and pose him into sensual positions
If I did I'd hold you tight into every single night & we'd fall asleep together & we'd wake up in the sunlight. Well, maybe I'm a dreamer, but, maybe one day you'll see, that dreams are......
......Yeah, yeah she gets it, stop cockblocking me!

Here ya go. Misha, Scout, and Molly as drawn by my 17 year old brother-in-law Zach. Oh and you can see some of my lovely Christmas cards from you wonderful WTFers peeking out from behind the drawings.

My grandmother gave me 2 jackets and a long sleeve shirt.

My dad gave me a handful of condoms.

That's all, haha.
