Hey Red, The Dead Weather opened for The Flaming Lips at my concert. They were good.
Anyway, a few pics I took at the Lips gig, if anyone is interested. Wayne....*sigh*
They were every bit as wonderful as I expected. We had perfect weather though the forecast was dismal.
I suppose it is a bit spoilerific in spots...so if you are gonna catch the show and you want to be surprised...DON'T CLICK! http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae41 ... =slideshow

Oh, nonch, I agree. When Bret goes all silver fox on us, he'll look like Wayne's little brother.

The Dead Weather AND the Lips?
You're pictures are wonderful, Nonch! And yes in my world Wayne...*sigh* is how his name is pronounced.
I love that man!

Shelly is totally into The Dead Weather. We're really into all things Jack White lately so I think that I'll hit that show this summer.
I totally want to see The Flaming Lips and get a hug attack from Wayne...*sigh*

I'm cracking up at the pickle thing.
II'd love to see Moody Blues but the flute dude left.....
I'd kill to see Led Zep but, well......
AC/DC one day, maybe....Tom and I'd both love that.
You're such an old school rocker, Laura!
I am....pathetic, huh?
I like some of these new whippersnappers, too....

I've volunteered to sell beer at a few concerts this summer to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, so the next concerts I'll be hearing but not actually seeing are Lynyrd Skynyrd/Bret Michaels, Chicago/Doobie Brothers, and Robert Plant.

LCD Soundsystem was amazing. Loud and colourful. If you like them, you have to see them live!
Sorry, no pics or film. I just wanted to enjoy the show. However, while we were waiting I saw that the Flaming Lips will be playing at the same venue in July. It's a small club, and everything I've seen from the Lips has been from large outdoor venues. How would it translate, I wonder. I'm thinking about going, but I don't think hubby would want to. I wonder if I could find anyone else...

Faith, When are you seeing Robert Plant? I didn't even know he was touring this summer. I'm such as bad obsessed stalker fan. I'll NEVER be as good at Mel hahahaha
Ooh oooh oooh! I just saw that he's going to be in Memphis. I should fly back in July to see him. But it's July in Memphis uuuugh. But he is playing at The Orpheum and I know the back stage ares VERY well and might be able to secretly sneak into his dresssing room hahahahaha (total joke BTW, I would never invade someone's privacy like that) I'm totally kidding, no I'm not, yes I am, no I'm not.
