Saturday Night Nerd Thread

Postby Gayle » Sun Dec 11, 2005 1:14 am

OK. I'm a nerd. I'm almost always home on a Saturday night. So, I thought I'd start a thread for the other nerds in our group who might be home on a Saturday night.

If no one else responds... I understand. It's the lot of a nerd, you see.

But if someone out there is actually home and wants a fun place to hang out and chat about what-have-you... this is as good a place as any.

Heh. I'm home. Even worse, I'm going to bed soon.

I know!!! There was a time when I would travel from Sarasota to Ybor City for a good party... not so anymore! Now I would spend an evening going to bed at a reasonable hour rather than going out or finding excitement!

Too late to get in on this? I am normally a very happy and well-adjusted Saturday night nerd. Last night would have been another, but once a year my "crowd" gets together at my house to decorate my tree, watch a holiday movie, and eat a ton of Nachos and Chili. Since we all usually go our seperate ways for the holidays, this is the time we get together and exchange gifts and have our laughs.

Next Saturday night will probably find me happily entrenched in my nerdiness once again.

okay, so it should be a date!
I think it will be a great night for chocolate...i got some cute little meltable thing in the produce isle yesterday...usually don't do that, but, i figured, "what the heck, i will try it".
I will be here with my microwavable melty chocolate and :hrm: maybe I can find something to dip in it :yawinkle: and we can have a little "chat"
:rolls: :roll2: about how positively "well adjusted" we are!

"VOTE FOR PEDRO" :sombrero: Am I the only one who actually owns a Vote for Pedro T-shirt? I bet so...I am an idiot! Another reason why they call me special...Hey that just gave me an idea

Um, what movie does that Pedro stuff come from? I've heard it mentioned before, but I'm absolutely clueless. I didn't even know it was from a movie until just now.

I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen the Pedro stuff mentioned in passing elsewhere.

"Napoleon Dynamite" was so funny. ANd, kind of squirmy-painful in places, too. But, it made me laugh out loud, I tell ya!

I laughed a lot at that film. My sister introduced me to it (it to me?) while she was visiting last August and we giggled like 4th graders at times.

Like we did when she and I rolled down the rolling hill (as I now call it) in my yard. The two of us, grown women, on our sides with arms over our heads rolled down the hill and giggled our heads off all the way down.

It was a good day.

I am a total Saturday nerd! Life is a little crazy due to the holidays, but I am usually home every Saturday evening (and Friday for that matter...sad, sad elderly girl) Can I still visit next Sweetassday?
