Whoa Nancy, how incredible is this????? Proud indeed!!

 Have fun at show V, let us know how it goes in the further back seating...I heard it is great from everywhere, and it seemed so last time we walked around the Bowl.

I am gonna see Eddie Izzard there in July. I am in Garden section, no pool sections were sold...hmmm, still great seating though (secretly wishing I was in the very front of pool section, section)

I think he's a little after her time and she'll probably just consider him a fellow actor, (I like him for his work for diabetes) but I'm sure there will be squeals when he drags her around. That is, if they do that staging.

At least Justin Bieber's not in it...*whew..* ;)

What a cast indeed!! How exciting- and how excited and proud you must be of her!!

Drew Carey? I loved his show and lovedlovedloved Whose Line Is It Anyway when he sat behind the desk. Now that he's actually doing improv on the new one...I can't watch. He makes me embarrassed. But I bet he'll make a good Wilbur Turnblad.

And Diana Di Giarmo has made quite a good name for herself in the theater since American Idol, plus she's done Penny before. Amy said she was very good.

I've got a theater story for you. Amy flew in to NYC for a callback I can't talk about yet. (she did very well, now it's up to the audition gods to say yes or no) She was staying with Kevin's brother and his wife, Amanda. She's in the cast of Follies starring Bernadette Peters that's previewing in Washington, DC. Normally most of the cast comes back to NYC after the Sunday show, and they return on the 2:00 train on Tuesday afternoon, arriving in DC at 5:30, in plenty of time for the Tuesday evening show. Well, this week there was an emergency in New Jersey (I heard about it on my way into the city - I'm sure SW knows more about it) and the Northeast Corridor was shut down for awhile, delaying all trains, meaning none of the cast would get back in time. They all tried to get buses, which they found wouldn't arrive in time either. Luckily, the Company Manager contacted everyone and told them that Bernadette was also stuck in NYC, so in order to have a show, they flew the whole cast down to DC, and the show went on as scheduled. So nice to have the star stuck with you - makes things so much easier. :D

That she is. I'd love to see her in Follies. I hope it makes it into NY.

An offer for a Tony-Nominated show. It's supposed to be terrific:

A friend of mine is gonna be in NYC next few weeks, and she has tickets to the show
Spider Man. I didn't know it finally opened. Anything on it? I will be in PA in August, and want to go to NYC to take in a show. This might be the one...hmmm. Thoughts?

Well as far as insiders go, it's the biggest joke to hit Broadway in years. It has not officially opened, it probably never will, because the critics will skewer it. Basically because they could have fed a country on what they've spent so far - as wonderful as The Lion King was, Julie Taymor the director just couldn't make this work, so after spending millions and millions, they fired her, brought in a new director, closed down, and now they're open and "in previews" again. People are goimg because of the curiosity factor, not because it's a great show.
Personally, I hope they've turned it around and now have a good product, but I don't know anyone who's seen the new and improved version.

Here's a link for a lot of the Tony-nominated shows - no discounts, but I just got a front row orchestra seat to see Daniel Radcliffe in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying for this Tuesday, my birthday! :whitey:

This was Neil Patrick Harris' opening number for the Tony Awards, with chorus members from Catch Me If You Can, Sister Act, Book Of Mormon, and How To Succeed:

This. Just. Makes. Me. Smile. :D

And to see it live is ten times more exciting. I have to say the camerawork wasn't great on this - it kept us from seeing the patterns and humor in Rob Ashford's choreography. Still, it's a good example of how to build a number. I didn't like the older woman because of her voice - too much vibrato! But she was funny in the part of John Larroquette's secretary. Anyway, enjoy!

Attention!! You can still download the entire Original Cast Album and Digital Book of Book Of Mormon for only $1.99!!!!!
I think it ends today, so don't delay. The book has all the lyrics, plus pictures from the show and the plot. (which you may not want to read if you plan on seeing it  )

If you'd like to see Hair, these prices can't be beat. My recommendation is to get seats in the front mezzanine. That's where they staged the show from.
