It would be a stretch to call it a display of talent but I recently made a cameo appearance in a music video. The video is for a song called "Only One" by an Austin TX based band, Household Names.

If you live in Austin and have cable, you can see it occasionally on ME TV, Channel 15. Or you can see it online on my MySpace profile page : http://www.myspace.com/poptartjen. You can also see it here : http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... 2042722415

Moved this from a thread i made:

Hey guys just thought i'd give you a few links to things to do with my band 'Us As Robots'. We're from Palmerston North, New Zealand and i'm 15 years old and play the drums. We have played with the Black Seeds(Brets band) once while they were touring.

some of the songs on the myspace are from our self-titled ep we recorded a few months ago.

A couple of live videos

Nice. I like this thread. It shows a wide range of talents.

I'm a doodler. I do not consider myself that great, but I still doodle.

Today was my first day of classes...I swear, I fell asleep in Intro to Physical Science when I drew Jemaine...it is not my best attempt at all hahaha!

Nice thread idea. I'm a published writer (poetry) and I love to sing and play piano. I also played flute for a while and am a passable artist if I really try. There's some great talent here....it's a little intimidating.

That's so cool that you're a published poet and you play the piano and sing! Geez. It sounds like you're a major part of the intimidating talent on here.

I have a degree in theatre acting and I've also worked in radio broadcasting for several years.

When I was 14, I began doing standup comedy. I went on to be the opening act for Sandra Bernhard and Shawn Colvin, it was a lot of fun. I performed in England, Israel and the U.S. Then I became a psychologist who went into marketing!!

Wow! That's really cool! I've always wanted to do standup comedy, but I really don't have delivery haha, so that was out of the question. That's really awesome you got to experience that. :)

Very nice. It doesn't happen as much anymore but in my previous band when I had to do most of the
talking people often told me I should consider doing comedy. They never said much about my bass playing.

Here's some various things I've done/worked on.

I also do the graphics on the website for the motorcycle dealership
I work at. www.stadiumyamaha.com

Here's the band I'm currently with.

Many of the "older" folks have seen a lot of this but for you newer folks.....

I added the tejas brothers a while ago on myspace. Love all your artwork John!

Wouldn't it be great if we could combine all the amazing talents on here? I wonder what we'd come up with.

Thanks!!!!

Starting standup so young helped me get out of my system. So after 10 years of it, I felt like I was ready to move on. I had an audition set up with Second City in Chicago but I got into grad school around the same time and well, I chose that instead. But it was really fun when I was doing it and it was very strange to get paid for it!! So now I have no fear of public-speaking which is good cause I have to do ALOT of it for my job and toasts at friends' weddings and parties!!

That's really cool, I love the Second City. Everytime I go to Chicago I have to stop there. I want to eventually move to Chicago and hopefully take some classes there. [I had my senior pictures taken in my Second City shirt. ]
