I'm speechless, not unlike the "reporter" in the video link. Have you ever heard so much silence in a "news" clip? I wonder who felt more humiliated, the poor penguins or the voice-over dude?

Starting to wonder why I've never seen this slightly sick side of Sherry... :roll2: Thanks for the giggle.

I was astounded to see so many pictures of penguins wearing sweaters. I wondered, is this some kind of national pastime or something? :hrm: So I clicked on the link and read this:

1: What are penguin sweaters for?
When an oil spill affects penguins they are dressed in little knitted sweaters to stop themselves preening their feathers. This prevents them poisoning themselves by ingesting the oil. The sweaters are removed and discarded as soon as the penguins can be washed.

Some organisations also use the sweaters on penguins while their natural oils replenish themsleves.

2: Are there still oil spills in Australia?
No. Oil spills are very rare in penguin populated areas. However, stockpiles of little sweaters are collected by some agencies "just in case" an oil spill ever happens.

Sometimes I just love this world, lol. It makes me so happy to know that somewhere there is a "stockpile" of tiny sweaters for penguins. Just in case. ;)

Back the track up a bit; Jemaine dislikes penguins?! Um, he and I need to have a talk. Before I'd ever heard of FotC I wanted to go to NZ based on the fact that 9 different kinds of penguins reside there. How can you dislike a penguin!?

I'm enjoying this trip down memory lane. Nipples, penguin sweaters ... what's next? :D

Maybe he's jealous of their sweaters. :dunno:

So, if Bret has a jumper with penguins on it, does that mean the penguins have jumpers with people on them? :hrm:
