Well, they are connected I suppose to the Conchords.

Question: I want to get one of their albums but I don't know which one to choose. I like Going Fishing, Blue Summer, Hitchcock and SeaWorld best (the later being my favourite of all) but I'm at a loss at which one would be best to start getting into their music. Has anyone got their albums?

Any of their albums is a winner. I love Pegasus!! HorsePower! And Happy Ending!!! I am of no help, I love love love them. :heartbeat: Samuel Flynn Scott is my fav!!! :prayer: He also has Bunnies on Ponies. (his other band) War over Water is a great song on the album The Hunt Gives Us Life.

One of my favortie TPF songs is Sally. For a start? try of course "Let Me Die a Woman" Their biggest hit...

I could go on and on...so go to their website and their MySpace page, there are videos there.

Answer to your question? ALL OF THEM!!! let me know what you think! did I mention that I love them?

I'd start with Horsepower or Pegasus, as Happy Ending is a bit different overall from the first two albums (and those songs you already know). Maybe go with Pegasus, since most of the songs you know are already on Horsepower, just so you're not ending up with doubles. Really, though, you can't go wrong with any TPF album. Lovely stuff and really lovely guys.

They're supposed to be moving to the UK sometime next year and I'm thrilled, because that means I'll have some more chances to see them live again. I saw their three shows in NY when they did their first tour in the US and it was a great set of show. Loved every minute!

I'm echoing indigo here. You can't really go wrong with any of their albums, but if you want to stick along a similar vein to the songs you like, Pegasus and Horsepower are definitely the way to go. I personally loved Happy Ending, too, but it was a little different to their previous albums.

And jeaaaalousy at seeing them live. :ttth:

Here's a link to the photos I took that week when I saw them in NY. They're not the best, because I was too busy enjoying the shows to really make an effort to get good pictures, but you get the idea. ;)

I reiterate, jeaaaalousy!

It looks like it was a really great show. They always have such friendly faces.

They really were very friendly and seemed to appreciate the fact that we'd gone out of our way to see them.

I wonder if they have any plans to tour the US again. I'd like to see them.

I too am jealous; very jealous!!!

That being said, my next big adventure is going to New Zealand for the World Cup Rugby there in fall 2011. That is probably the best chance I can imagine of getting to see TPF live. I really, really love them.

And Samuel's BOP's and Luke Buda's solo stuff, and on and on... :heartbeat:

TPF has a new EP coming out December 7, called Merry Kriskmass and today they're making a song available for free download. Here's the link for it. Go get it and share the love!

Thanks for the link Indigo, I love free music...but that song is seriously disturbing. I may even ring their mothers to express my concern. "Christmas Album" ?!?!? Imagine playing that with the fam gathered around. Gram is humming..."I smell death..." softly while she slices the pecan pie.
