Out of curiosity, has anyone looked for and/or found any other Morrieson books?
Also, in doing some research last night I found that all of Morrieson' books had been made into movies. Did we already know that? I may be losing my memory, or just my mind.

Yeah I read that and wanted to watch them but it seems they aren't available either.

I know, and an obscure film site I like really raves about the version of "The Scarecrow", too.

I saw The Scarecrow fairly reasonably recently.

Well, it's gone up, but still pretty affordable. Looks like it was first printed in '63, then in '67, '76 and '81.

I got a '81 paperback for around $20. I will be more than happy to circulate it.

But the third one someone else has to get. ;D

Having just seen shots of Jem from the Emmys and seeing how short his hair is, I wonder just how close to bald they made him for the role of Spook?
Bret: Have been sheared.
Jemaine: Have been shorn.

There are pictures of Jemaine as The Spook around the interwebs, SA, and in all of them he has a big mop of black hair kinda parted weird

Yis. Methinks he is shorn as he will be wearing a wig for Dr. Chevalier.

(Pix of Spook are pretty common knowledge now, just not what happens to him...)

My mom used to buy this stuff all the time. I think she used it to make vietnamese coffee. It's really thick and sweet. I don't really remember what it tastes like but I wouldn't try it straight.

I'll finish this tonight. I've been dragging it out.....oh, it's getting so tense!

I must say, I don't fancy going back and clicking black boxes to try and discuss this! Can we perhaps have a book discussion thread with spoilers for those who've finished- or is it too soon?

I was pretty grossed out by the thought of eating it......and it just sounds wrong. It's thick but I'd still think of it more as drinking..... :worry: Bleh.
