Commentaries would have been sooo good :(
I was also kind of hoping for some more footage from the shooting of the music videos. There's only really a few bits from Demon Woman, isn't there..? :|

(sorry, is this stuff considered spoilery? it's hard to know where the line is...)
It's all about the music.

Do they normally have commentaries as an extra on TV show DVD releases? I can't think of it being the norm for the ones I've bought in the past.

I'd have liked a commentary of some kind or an interview with them all, or the guys showing the camera round the set etc but the On Air docu will have to suffice

I think because I'm used to British DVD's, nearly every comedy show that I've bought has had commentaries (this may be because 95% are written by Graham Linehan).

oh Peaches, I meant to ask, why are there 2 dvds for season 1 in the box-set?
Are there any other extras, or is it just the episodes spread over 2 dvds?
It's all about the music.

No extras unfortunately, the DVD I ordered originally from the US (of Season 1) had 2 discs as well :|

Whoa guys, the top of the front page of IMDb is a feature for the season 2 DVD release!! That's a huge spot! (And huge promotion!). http://www.imdb.com/

Thanks for paying the bills, HBO. :D

Hooray! I had a big dr appointment today, issues at work, and my boyfriend had to to rescue his mom because her car broke down, but today was still a GREAT day!!! I plowed through disc 1, and can't wait to watch disc 2 and extras tomorrow. I would have watched the extras straight away, but I promised the BF that we would watch all of the episodes first. *sigh*

I agree that commentary would be nice. I noticed that there is cast commentary on the Seinfeld and Red Dwarf DVDs, but I don't know how common it is for most tv shows.

Finally got my hot little hands on the Season two DVD today! YAY! :D I've already recruited friends for the required marathon viewing session this weekend - but I probably won't be able to hold out till then - I'll at LEAST have to watch the outtakes and stuff before hand eh?! You know, just to make sure...

Let's see... pay my rent, or buy Season 2? It seems like a simple choice, doesn't it?

The first two seasons of the Mary Tyler Moore show have commentaries, and so does Andy Richter controls the Universe. It's not super common.

Give me a hand here. How do you find the Easter Egg?

I haven't yet viewed the disc but I read somewhere that you hover over the stains on Jem's shirt on the menu. Hope that helps.
