Rhys at the Bloomsbury Theatre

This is from his blog on MySpace. Figured I'd copy/paste since you won't be able to read it unless you're on MS and a "friend." :)

I had been told he was playing the UK later this year so guess these are the gigs. Although that would also tie in with the Ed Fringe starting a week or so later...... I hope he gets back to Ed this year. I'd like another good reason to go to Ed for a few days during fringe  I don't do London generally so won't bother with tix for those dates.

Rhys doesn't tend to lock his blog posts so anyone can read them.

Oh, well I wasn't sure if you needed to belong to MySpace just to view it.

I'd posted a link to an author's blog somewhere else that some couldn't see. Just wanted to be sure. :)

In his comment section of the blog, someone asks if he's going to play in Glasgow:

No, but keep your eyes peeled for an Edinburgh announcement soon...

Yep I booked tickets for the 28th July at Bloomsbury! I'm really hoping work committments don't prevent me from going. If anything it should just mean that I won't be hanging out for too long afterwards because of work the following morning. Looking forward to it 8)

Just noticed I hadn't reported back about his show. Better late than never eh? ;)

I thought it was a really enjoyable show and it was quite different from what I was expecting because although he still did sound effects, he left a bulk of his class sound effects until towards the end and didn't do them as much as throughout the show as I thought he would. His set was still very funny though. His account of experiences in LA were hilarious in particular an awkward scene in his upcoming movie 'Coming and Going' with a 'stunt c*ck operator' which he referred back to when I met him after the show  Glenn Wool was great as his supporting act too.

When my friend and I met Rhys after the show, he was incredibly friendly even though he was probably quite tired and he signed my FOTC S1 DVD :D

So yeah, it was a very fun evening filled with laughter :)

Aww, sounds like you had a great time, Venus! Yet another WTF!er joins the ranks of having met Rhys. I'm glad he was so nice! Man, is there a cast member of FOTC that ISN'T an incredibly nice, friendly person? I've yet to find one :D

Yeah totally! I admit I was quite nervous for some reason even though I had no reason to be since he was very sweet and relaxed. Gosh who knows what I'll be like if I do get the chance to meet Bret and Jemaine? ;)
