New member - Trefusis - saying hello

Postby trefusis » Mon Jan 26, 2009 5:44 pm

Thought it was getting a bit impolite to just lurk on here without introducing myself so, er, hi. <shuffles feet>

I'm female, 30s, and in the UK - a very back-of-beyond part of it. Don't rate our chances of seeing the guys in the flesh any time soon :( ah, well...

Got into the Conchords from clips of their stage show and the One Night Stand gig, just before the BBC here started showing the first series of the TV show. Seriously looking forward to getting Series 2 (in the Spring...?? )

Looking forward to more shy lurking chatting on here.

(Oh, and if anyone is keeping stats on this, you'd better put me down as a Bretero  )
That's the conclusion that I've come to, but...

Looks like it'll be April here, according to BBC Newsbeat  . In the meantime, I keep hovering over the spoiler threads wondering whether to dive in...

Trefusis is the name of a distracted professor type created by Stephen Fry. Also (I'm told) named after a slightly louche English aristocrat (so exactly like me, oh yes :hrm: )

Hey, I've just discovered the full range of smilies!! so here is a :thanks: for my welcome to all you lovely lot. Really will come out soon, if only to post something heavily censored on the Bret photo thread...

Aww, it's good to be liked <flutters eyelashes>

Am planning to re-read Making History but really want to get hold of The Ode Less Travelled and get a bit of poetry in my soul. Suppose there's always the new series of QI as some small compensation for not having FOTC2 yet...

OneWithDog - lots of lovely links to play with! :thanks:
