I sound like Marilyn Munro...

Postby helgecko » Tue Apr 14, 2009 10:49 am

Hi all!
Yes, I am Australian, but I won't try to lure you to the bottom of the ocean, or even make fun of anyone's mineral exports. Promise.

My name's Helen, I'm 28, living in Sydney, and I've been a fan of the guys for about a year and a half. I've been lurking on this board on and off pretty much that whole time, and it's been more on than off recently, so I thought it was high time I actually introduced myself. Everyone here seems like such a great bunch of people :D

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to join, 'cause I've got stuff to say about the last series (almost all positive, I promise! ), so I'll be digging up those old threads again. I hope this isn't too poor form on my part  I usually try to be pretty good with forum etiquette....

Ummm.. I'm sure there's probably other stuff I should be telling you, but this might have to do for now.
Very happy to be "getting amongst it" at last!! :D

Hi Helen! Welcome to the board. It's good to have you here. Better late than never. :)

Hi Helen!

Welcome to the forums! Australians are very welcome here (as long as you don't try to subtly mock anyone else's accent, I'm sure you'll be fine) ;)

Hi there and welcome aboard.

I've got nothing against Australians. I'm married to one after all

Re digging hup old threads and posting to them. Yes please, totally, feel free. That is what they are here for. Doesn't matter if a thread is 4 years old or 4 minutes, if its on the forum then it can be posted to. Besides often being dug up again means others get to see them for the first time also.

Enjoy :)

Hi Sherry,
I'm glad everyone's so open-minded and inclusive 'round here

And thanks for the "okay" on posting in old threads.
Now I just have to get my thoughts in order.... hummmm... :|

Hi Carol! :D
Thank you! If I get a chance this weekend I might start digging through the Season 2 threads :)

A good friend of mine in Israel just received (from "Santa" *cough*) season 2 in the post, so I'm getting to relive it all again vicariously through her. It's reminding me of stuff, and making me want to watch them all *yet again*
So much fun! :D

edit: oh, and I have to say, I *adore* your av and signature!!

Hi Everyone!

I'm hightailing on Helen's thread because I am a lurker (for about a year...) from Oz too :)

(and also 'know' Helen from another board :) )

I'm 26, work in an office, and get quite bored. So I will probably post on here a fair bit.. :D

I'm not really off to a good start, I can't fit any of my gifs in my profile pic!

Hi Peaches:)

Nice to have you onboard. Hope you'll like it here

As for help with gifs you may find some helpful hints in the "How Do You Do That" thread.

Hi sweetie, so good to have you here

(there actually aren't many gif avs round these parts, you may have to make do with a normal picture, and maybe stick a gif in your signature :) )

Hi Peaches :) The same one from Twitter? I am guessing maybe so.

Either way, good to have you join us, Enjoy and see you around.

My husband is from Adelaide, his family live out in Glenelg now mostly, a few minutes walk literally from the main street and beach. Loved the old tram line down to there and walking along the beach to the new marina (not so new now  ) Many fond memories of Adelaide and hope to return there in the not too distant future.

BTW the avatar size limit is about 50KB and 100x 100 pixels if that helps :)

Yup, PeachesOz is me on Twitter :D

Aww, excellent, hardly anyone ever comes to Adelaide! It's brilliant, we have many things....like...urm...frog cakes, stobie poles, and Coopers beer :P

I'll have a lookie around and customise myself to this new environment :D
