There are 2 really crappy vids without sound. They both play for me.
Hope Amanda doesn't mind me posting a link to her photos but I do feel that these should be seen - particularly this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/10880122@N03/3571176809/
I'm trying to think of some things to say that haven't already been said and it's proving a bit difficult but here goes some random thoughts. The highlights that come to mind are hearing Foux da fa fa live for the first time and the new improved versions of Freekie & Epileptic Dog. I also enjoyed Freebird. The rest is a bit hazy, will have to find audio to refresh my memory. Honestly I was expecting something big for the final shows, something to bring the house down, perhaps my expectations were too high coz IMHO the shows were...well... they certainly didn't have the energy or electric vibes I felt in NYC & Philly, they were, in fact, the tamest I saw this tour, a bit ho hum by comparison and I can't help but compare. People seeing them for the first time will have an entirely different impression I'm sure. Also the crowd was unusually subdued. Even when Jemaine mentioned that it was the last show of the tour there was really no reaction from the crowd which I found odd. Was fairly certain there would be an M&G (particularly given that I overheard a staff guy tell a fan that they would sign stuff outside after the show) so I was a bit stunned when the bus pulled away without the guys in it. Way to psych us out. It would be dishonest to say we weren't bummed but I was over it by the next day, which was the same day
All in all I had a blast in Cali and would do it again in a heartbeat. It was nice to meet Whambi and 4everconchordsfan after the show and Amanda and Sully were great travel buddies. It's such fun to be able to share your obsessions with likeminded friends....friends obsess together...la la la lahttp://www.flickr.com/photos/shebearess ... 785893351/
