Do you own more than one uke?

Do you constantly crave new ukes despite loving the one you currently play?

Does a uke now rank higher than clothes, shoes, electricity bills and food on your list of things to spend money on?

OMG! Look at this Kala Melon! :D

Did you just try to click that link, find out it didn't work and now you feel the need to google Kala Melon to see what it looks like?

If you answered yes to two or more of the above questions: Congratulations, you have Ukulele Acquisition Syndrome!

If you didn't: Hang in there, you'll get there in the end!

This thread is for showing us your ukes, the ones you own, the ones you dream of getting and the one you just ordered!! :D

I am Nancy, and I have UAS even though I just got my beloved Youk:

Oh my God, I think I just posted my first picture after almost 4500 posts! :yay:

And yes, you got me with the link, biscuit, you rascal you! :bang:

There's a beauty of a uke down at Wakefield music that just felt like a million bucks when I held it, (it's well over $100) and it's highly glossy wood, and it sounds beautiful, and...um...well...I want it.

So I'm a bit nervous about neke hope's arrival. Since I'm at school all day, my mom is going to be getting the package. And she doesn't understand ukulele's or UAS at ALL and I can just hear her going, "You already HAVE a ukulele! Why do you need ANOTHER one!?"

I think I'm just going to have to play the "it was a steal! I needed a tuner and bag already, and this came with a tuner, bag AND ukulele. So really, I only paid $40 for a ukulele that SHOULD cost $75!" and hope she sees that angle

If not, this could get real awkward

I've posted it in the main thread here, but since this is meant for photos, I'll post it again here.

This is Little B

I have this image of another uke that I want...I'm not actually sure what it is yet, but I can see it in my mind and feel how I would want it to feel in my hands and it is lovely. Now I must research and find what I'm dreaming of...

Nancy and Songbird those are both beautiful! I've never given much thought to ukuleles before but after hanging around WTF for a while I'm becoming more interested. My hubby is a musician so we're in music stores all the time and I've started noticing the ukes and mandolins. I really like this one. I think she's gorgeous.

 Laura - that uke is gorgeous.

Also, Red, that uke is pretty as well! Is it a tenor or baritone? It looks like a baritone to me :hrm:

Since it's an auction, I'd better put a pic. It's a Pono Tenor:

It's nearly been two weeks since I bought Leilani and I don't really have plans of getting another uke just yet but I have been coveting other ukes for sure. ;) They're so beautiful

Uh, I'm back again, and I'm still Nancy (crowd: Hi Nancy  )and I still have UAS, and, uh, I went to this benefit in NYC my daughter was in with the Broadway cast of Hair, and, um, there was a trio of Hair castmates who sang beautifully,(Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World) and, um, one of them played her ukulele, and she was such a great player, and she strummed real strong and good, um, and I wanted her uke because I missed Youk... ...no, I really wanted hers because it was beautiful and she was from Hawaii, and she played bar chords with her thumb, and her uke was shiny and pretty, and ...I wanted it.

Nancy:  That's why you should always have a 'beater', a cheapo uke you can bring along everywhere, so you can play whenever the fancy takes you

I'm a soprano girl, so while I love looking at the beautiful tenors I dream of another cute little thing. I've been planning on branching out to concert, although they don't come in as many silly designs. I  silly designs :D I've looked all over for a cool concert and today I found this:

It's out of my price range though.... It's called Ipulele, ipu meaning melon in Hawaiian:)
