love the box idea. We could get one sending around, getting postmarks and stickers from around the world, then sent to him. Each one of us could open the box and say "happy birthday" into it, then when he opened it up, it would be like the "chorus of would be girlfriends"

:supz:

I like that idea. Just make sure that you have Tic Tacs at the ready. :D

For his birthday, I will offer him a free night of babysitting. He and his wife could use it in an emergency. In fact, we could all offer one day, and they'll be covered for months! Genius!

And if that doesn't work out (I'm pretty sure it won't, haha), I'll just finish the song I started writing for him and find some way to get it to him.

 Garlicky birthday wishes probably wouldn't have the desired effect.
That's the conclusion that I've come to, but...

Awesome. How do we get this done? It'd be relatively easy to get some WTF'ers addressess and I could start the box, but how do we get it to Bret? Does anyone know of a way?

:hrm:

I reckon that just addressing it to "Bret McKenzie, Flight of the Conchords, Wellington, New Zealand" would almost definitely work

When I was a wee little girl, I sent my great grandmother a letter addressed

Grandma Violet
Oxford, NE

and put my nickname in the upper left hand corner

and then drew in a stamp

--it got to her, and she wasn't at all famous, so maybe your idea on how to get the box to Bret would work, trefusis!

It is a pretty cool idea, but his birthday is like two weeks off. If we start this now the box would be there by his next one...

Well, then lets start it for his 34th birthday; I'll still be a FOTC fan, bet you all will be too!

:roll2: I know!

It is a great idea but we do have a limited amount of time. Oh well we can still plan for his 34th birthday ;)
