From what I've read each bathroom stall has it's own sink.

Could be. I think it was big. The whole place is definitely ornate, and you never know who you may run into.
I was waiting in the ticket line and there was laughter behind me, which made me turn around, and who was there but Richard Thomas (The Waltons) and Daniel Levins (lead dancer in Grease, he played the choreographer in The Turning Point). So who do I fawn over, Johnboy, right? Wrong!!! I gushed over Daniel Levins because I loved the movie so much. Go figure. :?

Cool. It's one of the last old timey single screen theaters around & it sounds like it's future may be dodgy so I wanna get in there, maybe next weekend. Very cool too that both Bret & J are having films they've been in premiere there this year.

It's definitely one of a dying breed of theatres. A lovely representative of a time gone by. I always looked forward to seeing a movie there. Enjoy it!

I LOVE old ornate bathrooms! When I first went to our FOX Theater, the bathroom was where I wanted most to go. :)

Your own private sink inside the stall?! Too freaking coo!

Enjoy indeed! :D

I'll be sure to take photos. :D Radio City Music Hall has the most impressive bathrooms I've ever seen, barring the see through loos we encountered somewhere in Amsterdam.

 The doors became opaque when locked. There is a restaurant in the village that has similar doors, so I've been told, that's also on my to do list.

Cross-posting an interview with Bret from the Two Little Boys thread:

McKenzie, who is married and has two children with New Zealand publicist Hannah Clarke, will return to New Zealand next month for the world premiere of The Hobbit in Wellington.

The Kiwi has a cameo as an elf in Peter Jackson's much-anticipated adaptation of J.R.R Tolkien's novel, a role he was offered after appearing in the first and third Lord of the Rings movies.

"There was no mullet for my Hobbit role," he laughs. "The mullet was taken off and the ears put on. But the elves are supposed to be eternal so there was a lot more make-up this time to make it look like they hadn't aged 10 years."

McKenzie describes filming alongside Hugo Weaving and Sir Ian McKellen as surreal but a lot of fun - "Yeah, having lunch with Gandalf was pretty cool," he says with a chuckle - but moreover he's delighted that the spotlight will be back on New Zealand.

"Peter Jackson has made it famous. When I tell people I am from New Zealand it's the first thing they associate with the place. That and Once Were Warriors."

Good to know he'll attend the premiere. Would have been a huge shame if he couldn't. :)

Sneak peek of The Hobbit :)
Any cameos or other significant walk-on parts?
Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords gets a couple of lines as an elf having had little to say when he played another elf in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. If there was the traditional Peter Jackson cameo, it wasn't obvious.

Jemaine and Taika have been confirmed as VIP guests for the premiere today. 8) Here's the press release which so far contains many spelling errors.
