I think asking the Video Kid what these lyrics mean (outerzone? corn/call?) are in order as well......

"Bret, what the flip do they mean!?"

I just ordered Prototype a couple days ago, in hopes that it will arrive before my trip, so Bret can sign it. I think I'm really pushing it, but if it doesn't get here in time, it'll be a nice little surprise when I get back. :D

The link I posted last is for Flash Harry Vs. the Video Kid.
Blackseed's frontman Barnaby Weir steps forward under his solo alias Flash Harry with the stellar tune "Alright" from last year's self-titled debut CD (CREC1006) plus a great remix of "Alright" ("Better Than AlrightRemash") by Flash Harry and Fat Freddy's Drop hornman Tonie Naironi. The flip sees fellow Blackseed and Flight of the Conchords' mainman The Video Kid (aka Bret McKenzie) present two cuts of warm-singalong-downbeat goodness in the form of "Dawnskate-88" and "DJ'z Girlfriend". "Dawnskate-88" also gets the remix treatment by fellow Capital label mate Jet Jaguar, thereby inventing a new genre : folk-electronica. "Dawnskate-88" also has a video currently receiving airplay on C4. Recommended.

i know these are on other albums and are older....but is it worth having for the remixes? Anyone have it? :)

I'm thinking of typing a note that looks something like this.
FILL IN THE BLANK
DJz girlfriend, everybody knows that the DJz girlfriend is _____________.

CIRCLE ONE
summon everything you've got, all the forces under the sun
put the call corn up into the sky

If there is a m&g in Vegas and I give it to Bret, will he think I'm a complete wingnut? Of course he will, but a little humiliation is a fair price to pay for an answer, right? :worry:
You'd have to be deaf to hear that.

I'm not crazy about the Dawnskate remix but I'm not a big fan of remixes in general. I still love having the vinyl though. It's one of my favorite things from my collection.
