Well, in time for Christmas here, unfortunately NZs Christmas cut-off date for international airmail (to anywhere other than Australia/Asia) will be long-gone by then (it's Nov 29th) so you'll likely not get it in time to go under the tree... :(

You can pre-order (a Zone 4 copy) at Mighty Ape or direct from Vendetta films, or there are bound to be other places too if you google.

:D :D :D :D :D

Why are they trying to bury this movie? It's a beloved NZ author, it's a film that was well-reviewed, there are comedians at the top of their form acting in it and a NZ music legend in this flick. What is going on?

Thanks, Great H! I'm getting one. I will be happy to mail my copy around the US if anyone wants to wait until I'm done with it.

My computer only allows me a set number of times I can view a different region...if I go over, then it will from then on only play that region.

I need an all-region player. Maybe that's what I should ask for for XMas instead of 7 zombie books...... :hrm:

I could be wrong but I think most computers work like that. You can only change the region so many times.

Laura (and others) try this free DVD software.
If you have a PC it will play DVDs from any region. (Alas it doesn't seem to work on a Mac - better hardware security!)

Thanks H. Hmmm....I already have and use VLC. So does that mean you don't have to change the region code, instead just open with VLC?

GreatH, that is great advice. :thumb: I've been using VLC for quite some time and it is awesome. I purchase lots of dvds from Australia and I am able to watch them with no problem. My NZ dvds work just fine using that program too.

Exactly right. No need to change the region code... :D (And you can set your computer to use VLC as the default player - so it'll all be automatic...)
PS. I have sneaky work-arounds for mac-users too, but they're more complicated. PM me if you want the info...

VLC confuses me. I've downloaded it before but I can't seem to figure out how to use it to watch DVD's.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I seem to recall having some issue with a different region disc awhile back. The computer wouldn't recognize the disc unless I changed the code first. Perhaps Karen will need to walk us through this one.
