You're not alone in your attraction to the good Doctor, Aimee - there are others here who share your enthusiasm for Chevalier. :sofa:

Indeed there are!
Chevalier is definitely hot. In that 'oddest member of the teaching staff' kind of way.
I'm a sucker for a beard in a waistcoat.

Totally agree! It's just funny because I thought I was immune until I saw this gif! Now I'm debating getting this movie on demand or waiting patiently for netflix to see the special features or both!!!!

I'd say Netflix it because there isn't a ton of Jemaine stuff in the behind the scenes and outtakes, but if you're a big fan its definitely worth checking out. :) (Oh, he's terrific in the film.)

Here is a gif of one of the Jemaine outtakes on the DVD for a taste  :

(I linked it because its gianty huge)

Thanks onlyalways! I love how he's really into the scene and then suddenly he hesitates and it's all downhill from there. No matter how hard he tries, he can't hold back the laugh

Just poppin' in to say luved the movie (the best scene was J-free even :o ) and ended up purchasing the DVD 8) This was superior to Napoleon D in so many ways.

I finally saw the special features and was severely disappointment in the amount of Jemaine they contained. His bits were of course wonderful ( ) but I wanted more!

Well, I don't know what's wrong with me or what this means but I loved this movie. I mean, seriously enjoyed it. The whole thing. Jemaine was brilliant in it. He WAS Chevalier, lol. Every time he answered the phone, I would crack up. "Chevalier," in that smarmy, full of himself voice. And then at the end, when everything was hitting the fan he answered the phone and there was that slight quaver in his voice, lol. Plus it was so funny how he changed Benjamin's story to make it even cheesier, if that's possible! :purple: I could have done without all the gross out but really the only thing that truly disturbed me was that chick (I forget her name) kissing Benjamin's pukey face. Yuck. Also Benji's mom getting shot in the boob was pretty gratuitous. I actually thought the snake pooping on the guardian angel was pretty funny. (I'm nine. ;))

Actually - now that I think about it, the gross scenes were the only complaint I had about this movie. The movie would have been better without them, they at least didn't add anything. The steaming pile of poop that Benji dipped his arrow in to shoot the sleazy rich guy! Oh man! I didn't need that, lol. Other than that though this movie was really funny. Maybe it's because my expectations were so low. Or maybe it's because I do have a soft spot for ultra cheesy science fiction so this was right up my alley, lol.

So I finally got the DVD from Netflix and there are no extras, which was the only reason I was renting it to begin with.

Anyone know where I can watch them online?

I too loved this film. Finally watched it. The subleties were hilarious as well as the in your face grossness.

Oh, how I love his mom, Jennifer Coolidge, she is so funny in all her movies, plays her part very well.

Jem, I mean Dr. Chevalier was excellent. I agree that the phone calls were epic. That stupid bluetooth constantly in his ear, never being used, as he picks up other phones to answer and place calls... :rotfl:
His last call when he is busted...clears his throat, raises his eyebrows and his voice quivers...awwww...classic Jem.
