I'm glad I watched it without reading about it first. I don't think I would have found it as funny otherwise.

So far we haven't got a specific number of questions in mind so I guess we'll just have to wait and see all the submissions and see which ones we think we can work with. :)

I wonder if we'll get a new epi today. I've started to quite look forward to Tuesday (Wed in NZ) and my weekly hit of Sheepy and Robert. 8)

For it's ten year anniversary "Dave Likes Art" was recently uploaded to ThePenNZ's YouTube channel along with this additional information. :)

Hi everyone, this is not an episode of Robert and Sheepy - but it is the ten year anniversary of something the same team made. So as a treat here is: "Dave Likes Art"

Made by the creators of Robert and Sheepy.
This four minute animation is a road safety campaign made in 2001 for the New Zealand Land Transport Agency through Clemenger BBDO Wellington.
It took fourteen months to make and won several advertising awards that year.

The creatives at Clemenger saw early Robert and Sheepy episodes and asked Jemaine, Guy and Tim to come up with something for cinema that would be fun but also have a message.

Many artists and technicians worked over a year to create Dave and his mates, the world they live in and put it all together. I hope I've got everyone here - please let me know if I've forgotten you.

Lead Writer - Jemaine Clement
Producer / Director -Tim Capper
Animation Directors - Francis Salole & Guy Capper
Animators - Guy Capper & Francis Salole
Photography and Editing - Tim Capper
Character Design - Francis Salole and John Craney
Character Fabrication - John Craney and Guy Capper
Storyboards - Francis Salole & Tim Capper
Miniature Car Fabrication - Sean Foot
CGI Car modeling and animation - Tim Capper
Set Build - Renze Bijker
Voice Recording - Jason Latta (Blue Bicycle Flicks)
Voice Talent - Dave: Dave Fane. Stuart: Guy Capper. Phil: Jemaine Clement. Girl Hedgehog: Sanna Cooke
Clemenger BBDO - Lead Creative: Philip Andrew. Head of TV: Marty Collins
Post Production Supervisor - Tim Capper
Compositing - Jamie Telfer, Dani Norgate
Sound FX, ADR, Music, Dolby Mix - Bruno Barrett-Garnier
Audio Mastering - Mike Hedges (Park Road Post)
35mm Film output - Nick Booth, Peter Williams (WETA digital)

I'm embedding the video, as the other one in this thread seems to have been removed.

So it was Guy Capper (not Bret) as the voice of Stuart after all. I wonder if they are ever going to get around to answering our Q&A?

I forgot about that. Well if FB is anything to go by I'd say Guy is busy being arty. :D

An article here about Guy Capper. He is teaching a claymation class and talks of work on a new show (a few details here) which includes music and voice contributions from Jemaine! :) Intriguing. A 'live' claymation show? How does that work? Do you think Jemaine and rest of the animal orchestra will perform at the show? And just what animal will Jemaine be this time? May 9-12th in Wellington.

Wow, I didn't realize that Francis Salole of Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra had such a big hand in this project. :yay: :cheer:
