Thank very much laydeez and one guy. That card was fairly amazing. Even more amazing the the one I got from Mr. Rentals from whom I hire a washing machine, although I'm sure that was heartfelt also.

Wait till your individual birthdays to read the next bit...

Happy birthday to you too.

J

is this 'fairly amazing' card up somewhere where it can be seen? i've heard about it but not seen it.

How incredibly gracious of Jemaine to come here and say Thank You for what sounded like a very cool Birthday card! I'm surprised all of you ladies (and 1 guy) lived through it! :D I'd have fallen off my chair, no doubt!

(His reply is on pg 2.)

3 replies here on WTF..... 8) 1 to suggest "Breterosexual" for the ladies who like Bret best. I had no idea that came from Jemaine. Again, 8)

I notice Bret's never joined.....he's the more reserved of the two I guess. (Unless he's been here under a pseudonym.....Image)

Word on the street is that Bret is not so keen on the whole computer thing.

I'm just waiting for the Fourth Coming of Jemaine. :prayer:

Yep, apparently Bret's not really much of an internet user compared to Jemaine which is why most of the blogs, replies to messages etc on MySpace apparently come from Jemaine.

How cool would it be if Jemaine was to return to post again? :thud:

But if you did I'd hold you tight / Into every single night
And we'd fall asleep together / And we'd wake up in the sunlight
Well, maybe I'm a dreamer / But maybe one day you'll see / That dreams are...

Well I'm sure he's an internet user. I think the difference is that he doesn't follow the FOTC fan stuff like Jemaine does. I love that Jemaine does it - it really takes balls. If I were in his position I wouldn't want to read One. Single. Bit of it. Obviously he's got his head screwed on straight and can handle it.

Amen, Sister! It takes big balls for Jemaine to cruise this forum or any other fansite. I've been a member of an Adam Ant forum for years and I never could understand why that group of fans couldn't just appreciate the man and music. They criticized EVERYTHING he did like he had to answer to them for it. It was really one of the most frustrating online experiences ever. WTF seems to be a different vibe altogether and it's really nice.

So yeah, Happy Belated Birthday, Jemaine! I just joined WTF so I'm about three years late for this thread. Hope that's okay. :D

Totally okay.

Adam Ant was my first concert. He immersed himself in a vat of water onstage. I was mesmerized.

Haha, when I first read this thread about a month ago and saw that post from Jem I nearly fell out of my chair. I agree, it totally takes balls for Jemaine to go online and read fan stuff like this, and I am totally appreciative to him for doing it.

I would totally do it too...(not that I'd ever be in that position) it must feel comically surreal.... I'm sure he shakes his head a lot while reading...
(Or while seeing what some fans use as their sig pics....or avatars....)
