My sister-in-law is a real champ at carving wonderful scenes on pumpkins. I'll have to try to get a photo.

We were vacationing in Maui one year during Halloween and they had an insane Halloween party on the street in Lahaina Town. One guy's costume was a yellow hard hat & a toolbelt. All of a sudden I thought I saw a man's behind. It was one of those whiplash quick double takes. I was looking at his tan. Yep, all of his 'man bits' were hanging out for all the world to see cos he had on only a hard hat and toolbelt. He was loving every minute of the attention. No pun intended. :)

I saw a lot of great costumes that night. There was a couple dressed as a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, they were really cute.

If I can find a way to scan pics from that night I will post them to photobucket.

I really do love Halloween. It's a really fun holiday.

Agreed.

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I just wish I had an excuse to dress up this year. At my old job it was encouraged, but where I am now they'd think I was nuts.

Maybe suggest it? :dunno: Perhaps everyone else would enjoy it as well! About half of our staff dresses up. I might have to get with it this year. We can't be really scary though, there are small children around.

4ever... :o :purple:

OK, this is a little bit freaky. The first of the scary movies in my Netflix queue composed entirely of flims suggested in this thread came in the mail today. I have it sitting on my desk to watch tonight, but I've just been sent a lovely collection of photos so I take a moment to peruse and

*gulp*

The movie:

:nails: Is Jemaine trying to warn me?!?!?! :o Is that really a "fan with red eye" or a freaking zombie standing next to him?!?!?!

Jemaine's just trying to reassure you. "Nonch, it's OK - the undead aren't all bad. That's just a stereotype." Look how friendly that zombie is! He's staring right at Jemaine's big delicious noggin and smiling like he's not even *thinking* about eating his brains. ;)

This fan looks slightly suspicious as well. But maybe I'm just imagining things. :dunno:

:roll2: :roll2: Seriously, they are *so good* to their fans. Even the undead ones. ;)

I like how the zombie is all covered with blood. As if he was in the middle of devouring some hapless tourist, and suddenly he looked up and was like, "Hey... is that Flight of the Conchords?? I love those guys!"

Oh man, I watched The Evil Dead tonight. :roll2: and :doomed: and lots of :what: It's really impossible to describe. The first scene in the woods! :o Then I started watching Final Destination, but everyone has gone to bed and I started to get freaked out. :worry:

I love Evil Dead. I think it's better than Evil Dead 2, which was basically the same movie redone with a budget. If you want more Bruce Campbell (and how could you not?) I'd recommend Army of Darkness next.

I watched Blacula tonight. I hadn't ever seen it before, but it was fantastic. Not even slightly scary, but the whole 70's vibe was hilarious. And why does he grow extra facial hair when his vamp teeth come out? :roll2: It's like he was part werewolf too. :puzzled:

I've been trying to think of the name of a movie I saw last year that really scared me. I've finally remembered (with the help of imdb) -- it was The Grudge (the original Japanese version, not the US remake). It's about a haunted house, and it was definitely the scariest thing I've seen in years. One scene in particular gave me nightmares. I'd recommend it to anyone who really wants to be terrified. :nails:

The Grudge, huh? I'll have to check it out. :thumb:

Ladies of the Underworld, hee hee! :roll2: That chick is hell on wheels. ;) This is OT but I always loved the way they're holding hands in that picture, lol. Bret is so ladylike and Jemaine is so gentlemanly.

Nice teamwork, ladies. :thumb:
