It might be cool to see them in a non English speaking country, I imagine the venues would be smaller there too. I'm not sure about Paris. It was probably my least fave spot, but I'd be willing to give it another go. Oh anyway, I'm sure there will lots o' speculation until we hear the official word.

Dunno, it's just my personal experience. I was only there for a weekend with some girls as we were going to school in Brighton and needed to be back on Monday. Maybe I didn't have enough time to appreciate it. The language and money barrier (this was before euros) was problematic and frankly the locals lived up to their rude reputation at every turn. We were basically made to feel quite unwelcome. Funny how that type of treatment taints your entire impression of a place. Oh also a very smelly guy jumped on top of me as I was laying in the grassy area beneath the Eiffel tower, luckily my screams got him off me. I think my fondest memory was of the chocolate croissants served at our hotel.

Oh gosh, sorry to hear about your experience SW! I really enjoy going to Paris and I think it has a lot to offer visitors. However when it comes to actually living there permanently, I'm not so sure. France has some beautiful places though like Loire Valley too.

the conversation went as following :

David : im actually supporting the conchords soon

me :    wat???? ...Where ?

David : ya ......they supposed to be playing the O2 ...(david then put he's finger over his mouth and said ssssssshhhhhhhh)

Daivd got into his car and i was in a pile on the floor in shock

it went something like that i could be miss quoting him slightly but i was in shock

Intimate you say? So intimate that we can invite them round to coffee and cake at yours afterwards? Bret & J, I mean, not the audience. :yawinkle:

Very few huge comedy acts perform outside of large theatres here. Even the biggest names in comedy here don't often perform to more than a few thousand at a time. Eddie Izzard is one that springs to mind. Most tend to stick to the theatres, large halls and so on.

I'd honestly be surprised if they played the 02 or any large venue like that during a European tour. I'd be expecting them at the Palladium in London, or somewhere like the Colston Hall in Bristol, the BIC in Bournemouth and so on. Even the BIC might be pushing it size wise.

I'd be looking to venues from 500-2000ish size wise. And the larger sized places only in the main 5 or 6 cities.

Also I'll go on the record here as saying if they play larger venues of a 2000 or more I won't go see them anywhere when over here. I'm hoping for smaller venues a la other comedians tours.

Ok then we'll just takes pic of them for you. LOL. Nah, I agree though I'm willing to do up to a 3,500 seater since I've been in a venue that size with them and it was A-OK. Scratch that. It was A-OK when I had good seats. Last year's seats were terrible.

Anyhoo I've always wanted to go to Barcelona and see the Gaudi stuff. How awesome if I could also see FOTC and the lovely Amanda too! :)
