OK ladies

:topic:

Lots of the last few pages hasn't really been about the Amsterdam gig. I'll probably be deleting that all later.

FYI you can always see the camera type listed on flickr to the right of the photo and if you click on camera properties you get lots of other detail as well, voila:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/nonch/4680 ... 4229020000

Click on the highlighted name of the camera and you can see what it looks like. Cool, eh?

I see nonch's camera has an optical zoom of 10 as opposed to my 3. This is probably one of a many reasons (along with having more pixels etc) as to why it took better photos that mine.

Thanks, SW! I had no idea.

Hrmm. My camera has 10.1 megapixels too, but only a 5x optical zoom. It also claims to shoot videos in HD, but they sure don't look it. So maybe it's just me who sucks and not my camera, lol.

My little kodak video camera shoots in HD too but the setting effects how well the vids come out. Outdoor vids in natural light and other normal lighting situations fare very well but under stage lights, while things look pretty good they certainly don't look HD. Plus my videocamera does not have a good stabilizer so the slightest movement results in some dizzying footage. I think there are many factors that play a role in getting a good photos/videos but a good camera will obviously give you a leg up and after seeing what nonch's camera can do I'd say it's definitely a good investment.

Yeah my camera only has a 3X zoom too, which is WOEFULLY inadequate for capturing all of Jemaine's gorgeousity. Also it's highly automated so my options are limited as far as the settings I can mess with. It was a gift from the in-laws. It's fine for everyday use but concerts are a special situation and it does OK but not stellar. Next time I get a camera I'm picking out my own. ;)

It's not just the camera though. I mean yeah she has a great camera and that certainly helps but she also has a good eye and she takes nice pictures. :thumb:

Your Vegas photos turned really good though.

B & J give good face so it's pretty easy to take good photos of them if your camera is good. Not that nonch doesn't deserve credit for being awesome, of course.
