That'l do for starters. We can paint it tie dye color and dash out to LA to Largo and hear their new songs. I think besides the two from the tour they've got two or three more, and I want to hear them so badly! :supz:
Oh, fish-like Lady
Lady-like Fish
I don't think so Bro, she's a Lady, Lady, Lady, Lady
No, no, she's a fish that's just a little bit

I agree with your choices, Claire. Bus Driver's song is funny, but I feel sad for poor Tony.
And I love Hotties. Even though it's their most serious song, it's well done, and musically sound.
I'd have to add to your second place list. I like your choices, but I also really like I'm Not Crying. Any song that says "for your information there's an inflammation in my tear gland" is okay by me! :thumb:

it's so hard to narrow down favorites, but bus driver (poor tony!) and hotties have been my consistent faves as of late--of course once we hear the new songs they will have to be factored in so it could all change!! :) (oh angels is up at the top of my list too!)

i am all about the boom king right now. just for the "enough small boom let's boom the boom" line.

my alltime favourite is probably robots though, cos my other half is a total computer geek and he cracks up so hard at the binary solo so it always makes me laugh extra hard because of that.

i also love mutha*uckas, and "you're gonna wake up in a smoothie" is my favourite insult.
can somebody please remove these cutleries from my knees?

Now that I'm trying to learn Dutch, the Boom song makes me laugh in whole new ways, because boom in Dutch means tree. Enough small tree let's tree the tree! Who's the tree king?

Bus Driver's Song still remains one of my favorites. The old bridge/new bridge bit always cracks me up and now I think of our old and new canals here in Utrecht; the new one was built in the 1300s. ;)

Why yes, I am easily amused!

Nothing Wrong remains my all-time favorite, though.

I'm not to keen on Nothing Wrong, although I do admire Brets accent in it.

haha 'tree'

So we're driving in a Tree Tree
Driving, back to your Tree ba Tree
And you turn out the Tree Tree
And we Tree Tree Tree ?til the break of Tree
My Tree is ringing it?s Big-Tree-Tree
Back from ten years in the Tree
And they said he got his Tree chopped off in the Tree
But the crazy Tree still wants to Tree, well
Sorry girl, I gotsta Tree
Give you a Tree in the afternoon and
Tree Tree baby, don't forget you the most Tree Tree I ever met.
A Tree Tree
Ah Gandolf...I like what you've done with your beard.

We'll never make it...there's thousands of them and only about 8 of us!
Oh no!
We made it.
Hurray!

I love it - tree!!!

Indigo, you're the first I've seen to mention Nothing Wrong. It's so simple, yet so dark! On the lyrics thread we were trying to figure out what he says after "Hard drive". It sounds kinda like ashfelt drive (some kind of asphalt ?). Do you know?

Hello Nancy,

If it helps, I'm from the UK and certainly in my part of the country we say asphalt as "ashfelt". So it may be the same in the New Zealand accent. I certainly took it as asphalt on my first listen.

Hope you don't mind me butting in here...

Sarah

P.S. This is my first post here - I will post in the introduction thread very soon...

Thank you so much, Sarah, and welcome.
I kinda thought that it might have been a NZ (or UK or Aussie) type pronunciation. Thanks for clarifying that.

What's your favorite FoTC song, by the way?
Oh, fish-like Lady

Lady-like Fish

I don't think so Bro, she's a Lady, Lady, Lady, Lady

No, no, she's a fish that's just a little bit

Not. keen ... ? But how ... *splutters*
I keed! I keed! (as JP would say)
I guess it makes sense that not everyone will appreciate the twisted wonder that is that song. ;) I fully admit that I do like the dark, twisted ones the best, such as Nothing Wrong and Petrov et al. Which is funny, because I don't think of myself as a dark twisted person normally.

And thanks for clearing up the asphalt pronunciation thing, Sarah!

I just prefer others... I'm not saying that it's not good, just that they have done better.
