chords/tabs for "think about it, think think about it&q

Postby saschava » Wed Nov 09, 2005 10:35 am

just thought I'd tab this out for you guitar playin folks out there,

im not sure how acurate this is, but when i play it it sounds *fairly* accurate

chords used
not sure what that first chord is called and not about to look it up i think its some sort of A7, , you should use the thumb to play the F# on the E string, but you can just ignore that all together without it

---A*---A7---A----D7--C#m--Bm
e|-0----7----7----5----4------2
B|-2----7----7----7----5------3
G|-1----7----8----6----6------4
D|-2----7----9----7----6------4
A|-0----9----9----5----4------2
E|-2*---7----7----x----x------x

*can play a 0 if you want

thank you Andria, for the lyrics :)

“Think about it, think, think about it” by Flight of the Conchords
(HBO One Night Stand Performance)

A*
Children on the streets using guns and knives
Taking drugs and each other’s lives
A7
Killing each other using knives and forks
A
And calling each other names like dork

A*
There’s people on the street getting diseases from monkeys
Yeah that’s what I said, their getting diseases from monkeys
A7
Whys this happening, please, whose been touching these monkeys
Leave these poor sick monkeys alone
A
There sick, they’ve got problems enough as it is

A*
A man is lying on the street, some punk has chopped off his head
And I’m the only one who stops to see if he’s dead,
A7
aaoohhh Turns out he’s
A
dead

A
That’s why I’m singing,
D7
Aaaaoooh what is
C#m
wrong with the world to-
Bm
day?
Bm
What’s wrong with the world today, *mumbles* never said nothings wrong with it

D7
Uooo, what is
C#m
wrong with the world to-
Bm
day?
Think about it, think about it, think, think about it

A*
Good cops get framed and put into a can
And all the money that we’re making is going to the maaan
A7
What man, whose the man, when’s a man a man, why’s it so hard to be a man
A
Am I a man? Yes, technically, yes…

A*
Oohh, come on, sont zootka they’re turning kids into slaves
They’re turning kids into slaves just to make cheaper sneakers
A7
But what’s the real cost, ‘cause the sneakers don’t seem that much cheaper
A
Why are we still paying so much for sneakers when you got little kid slaves making them
What are your overheads?

A*
Well, at the end of your life, you are lucky if you die
Sometimes I wonder why I would even try
Why try

A7
I saw a man lying on the street half dead He had
A
knives and forks sticking out of his leg He said,

Dm7
Ahh ahh
C#m
ahh ahhhhhh
Bm
hhwww
Can somebody get the knife and fork out of my leg, please
Ooh, could somebody please remove these cutleries from my knees
Yeah yeeeahhh

***guitar stops***

This is where we break it down
This is where we break it down
We’ll break it down
What are they doing, their breaking it down
What do they do, and now their keeping it funky
Just having a funky jam and then we’re going to drop the beat
And then we’ll bring it back *wails* Up

just repeat while fading
A*, A*, A7, A

Wah wah wah waaah!

*Both go to town with the wailing*

Then we’ll take it low
Fading out, fading out
We’re talking about the issues, but we’re keeping it funky
We’re fading out, we’re just fading out
Why they getting quiet, they’re just fading out
*monkey noises*
Stop touching that monkey

Cool! Thanks for figuring those out. With my minimal guitar experience I can't play such a thing yet, but I am looking forward to it for the future. :D

Your welcome for the lyrics as well. :eyelashes: Figuring them out was probably easy compared to the tabs. :)
I'll take your body and cover it with honey, then stick some money to the honey, now you're covered in money, honey. -FotC
