2010 Tour Posters

Postby Sherry » Sun Apr 25, 2010 1:15 pm

As a few posters are floating around out there , I thought a thread dedicated to them was in order 8)

Myself or another mod will update the first post with any new additions. Anyone finding a poster or having info as to who designed, printed or is selling them (once gigs are played) please post in this thread and share with us :D

Tour Posters 2010

First up, these three. We've seen the artwork before, but its being wheeled out again it would appear. Due to copyright stuff (they are badass about it and I therefore I ain't going there) I'm only posting smaller images of this poster here. If you want the full size please click on the 3 links below these posters. Thanks.

Thanks Sherry :D

I've been looking about for the posters but my googling skills don't seem to be up to much.

I'm very interested in seeing what the Dublin ones are like.

Thanks for starting up this thread, Sherry! :thumb:

I've read about a few artists who have designed FOTC concert posters but they're not up on the Internet yet as far as I know so I'll be keeping an eye out for them. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the posters. 8)

By Drew Millward for the London 18th May Wembley Arena gig:

I was also asked to do a poster for the upcoming show that Flight of the Conchords are doing at Wembley. I think it’s certainly the biggest venue i’ve ever produced a poster for.

It was fun to do.

They will be available at the show, if you are lucky enough to be going along, and from www.postersandtoys.com afterwards.

It's a pretty cool poster. For anyone interested, Drew Millward also designed the posters for the Bloomington and Madison gigs during last year's tour. :)

I like it.....a few questions though.

What's with the rock star horns and whatever Jemaine's doing with his fingers?

It's like they're twins in a strange womb, lol...

I took this to Paint and made it big and studied it probably more than necessary, lol......I wondered if the artist is a PacMan fan because there seem to be 4 Ghosts in there! :D

Love all the kiwis...I'd buy it! :thumb:

Haha, I just see Jemaine doing the 'A-OK' hand gesture. Yeah there's a lot going on in the poster and twins in a strange womb is a good way of describing it.

Their 2 hands on either side of the band name are facing outward......to me, the "OK" sign is kind of sideways. Do those two gestures mean something in sign language maybe? (Bret's is close to "H", but his thumb's in the wrong postition...)

I'm sure I'm reading more into it than was intended...

I definitely see them as cramped in an uncomfortable womb :?

Yup :purple:

I just look at them and either think 'Pretty', "not bad' or 'o dear' or 'total s***'

I am the furthest thing from a detail person so I just see 2 guys in some donut thing and think 'ugly' and move on. LOL.

My favorite one so far is still the Legos one. My least favorite is the Amsterdam one, it doesn't look like a lot of thought was put into it. :dunno: I like the "womb" one, except I think Jemaine's face looks kind of ugly and that is a huge no-no for me, lol.
