Final tally:

Yes = 10
No=11

Like the 2009 results, the 2010 results are almost dead even. You have about a 50/50 chance of meeting FOTC after a gig.

May 3 Amsterdam Melkweg ---- No
May 4 Amsterdam Melkweg ---- No. But about 15 met Jemaine in the box office lobby after the show
May 5 Dublin Olympia----No
May 6 Dublin Olympia---No. But some people met Jemaine @ the stage door before the show

May 8 Manchester Apollo---yes
May 10 Birmingham NIA---yes under 20
May 11 Manchester Apollo----yes
May 12 Manchester Apollo----no

May 14 Glasgow SECC---yes
May 15 Glasgow SECC---yes

May 16 London Hammersmith Apollo---no
May 17 London Hammersmith Apollo---yes about 10
May 18 London Wembley Arena---yes Bret, no Jemaine

May 20 Bergen Grieghallen---yes about 12
May 22 Oslo Folkteatern---no
May 23 Copenhagen Falconer---yes about 10
May 24 Stockholm Cirkus---no

May 25 London Wembley Arena---no

May 28 Berkeley Greek Theater-----yes
May 29 Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Theater---no
May 30 Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl---no

According to statistics then, since I went to 2 shows, I should have met them after one of them.

Balls.

:roll2:

I like to think that, if they knew or believed they wouldn't be doing any more touring that they would have just indulged us quickly that night in LA. By the time their van came around there were, how many of us? 25 ish? They could have gotten through the meet in greet in less than an hour - easily. Not that they OWED us that or anything, but I like to think that if they REALLY thought they wouldn't be coming back to the US they would have just met with the small group of us that were there since they would know they wouldn't be coming back.

Did that make any sense? :lol: You can obviously tell I'm holding on to any hope I can that they'll be touring as FOTC again :nod:

I like the way you think.

I didn't even realize that some people were seriously considering the idea that they may not tour again until a couple people mentioned it this past weekend. It never crossed my mind that it would be a final tour but it disturbed me that some people thought it might be.

I got the idea from a couple of articles with interviews...reading between the lines of the interviews one could come away thinking this was it...but now I'm thinking it was probably just the way I read into it :dunno:

I came across a picture which I'll post in the gig thread which has led me to believe that there may have been a meet and greet after the Stockholm show, at least with Jemaine.

I really don't think they're done touring. :hrmpf:

How do you figure? Don't forget it's the same 50/50 chance each time. :wink:

According to probability once you hit four tries on a 50/50 statistical calculation, odds are favorable that at least one in four will be a positive outcome**! (**IE: A Bret hug for nonch)

Since we are absolutely certain the number of Bret meetings we get in four concerts is going to be between zero and four, we can calculate the probability of any collection of results by adding the individual probabilities of each. Suppose we'd like to know the probability of getting fewer than three Bret hugs from four gigs. There are three ways this can happen: zero, one, or two m&g's . The probability of fewer than three, then, is the sum of the probabilities of these results, 1/16 + 4/16 + 6/16 = 11/16 = 0.6875, or a little more than two out of three. The probability of getting one flipping Bret hug photo in four freaking concerts is therefore 4/16 = 1/4 = 0.25.

Soooooooo I still say I wuz robbed. :?

And NO....Jemaine doesn't count. :P
