My copy of Came a Hot Friday is on its way! It was about $15 US, from Poppies Books. They take quite a long time to ship, but are so friendly. I think it's back in print in AUS/NZ on Penguin Books.

I'll let you know what I think and then get the book round-robin going again.

I got Came a Hot Friday from Poppies Booksellers in NZ. just as tidily packaged and neatly inscribed as ever.

I read the first few pages. Wow! This one might be a grabber all the way through.

Great. That's just perfect. I'm reading the book and I can't believe he's gonna die in this movie, too. SERIOUSLY! Where's a happy ending for the guy?? In Tongan Ninja, he dies. In Gentlemen Broncos, he gets punched in the face, sued, and dropped by his agent. In Predicament, he dies. In Dinner for Schmucks, he gets told to go away and never come back, and I'm almost certain he's going to die in MIB3. Well, I have to at least say thanks to Taika for the happy ending in Eagle vs. Shark.

And in Futile Attraction, he gets yelled at by a mean lady! :|

Yes, but Kieran comes back in Dinner for Schmucks and becomes great friends with Barry and gets some swell art commissions out of it. And he looks adorable as a little mousie!

And threatened with a gun. And nothing really happens to him in Diagnosis Death. But poor Bret starts crying at a funeral and then gets possessed.

That's true. I guess I didn't count that ending in my head because the last time I saw actual Jemaine on screen they told him to leave, but yeah, Kieran didn't have a horrible ending . and guess who came to see their art? MORGAN FREEMAN!!
