get it checked with a dermatologist. irregular borders, multiple or changing colors, raised...those are all signs of something to get removed and tested. I had a mole that has been on my face forever removed recently because it went from perfectly round to oval shaped....doc was concerned, but it turned out to be nothing. It probably sounds silly, but both hubby and I mourned the loss of little moley....it made my face distinct...now there's just a scar there.... :? one that's hard to cover with makeup... :x

I had a mole removed from the back om my shoulder when I was in college. I SOOOO should have had a plastic surgeon do it and not the dermatologist becuase there is a HUGE scar there now.

Unfortunately I don't have health insurance right now so I can't afford a dermatologist. However, I'll have to ask my GP the next time I go in.

I get the feeling that it's just a pore with something in it but who knows. And it hasn't changed size or color so that's good. And it right on the part of my face where my sunglasses hit and I'm starting to get little break outs there on my cheeks. I'm going to have to start wearing smaller sunglasses maybe :(

Find a college with a medical school, and have someone studying dermatology check it, or see if there's a free screening being held (they do them all the time during the summer) - don't waste time. Too many people wait and then it's too late. My executive director's Mom had to have 180 stitches on her face from where they had to dig very deeply to get all the advanced melanoma. You shouldn't fool around with this, Em.

I'm on a quest for the perfect summer sandals. They must be comfortable but not frumpy looking. I prefer the heel to not be too high (ideal heel < 3 inches) because I'd like to be able to walk in them and I'm aiming at $100 or under. I've been checking out zappos.com and aldoshoes.com I know some of you may have a good chunk of great shoe sites bookmarked so if you do, please share!

Muchas gracias.

i love Born's and Easy Spirit's sandals. They have a good range of heel heights and colors. You can find some good sale deals on the Easy Spirit site, and Macy's often has Borns on sale, as does DSW.

I just got my hair dyed for the first time. It's a darker chocolate brown, and I had her keep some chunks my original color, and really lighten some others. It's cute! I want to get it to the point where the lighter chunks eventually become almost white - I want to point out the fact I'm going grey, not hide it.

I've been hiding my silver hair for a loooooong time. Kudos to you for accentuating it!

I have a pair of Keens and I love them. http://www.keenfootwear.com/wall/Shoes/women/na/16,492 I have the "Venice" in black but scroll down the page and there are a lot of styles that look really cute but I haven't tried them on so I don't know how comfy they are. The ones I have are really, really comfortable - I can walk all day in them.

Also I was just talking to SheWolf about this awesome shoe website: http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Shoes I don't know how practical a lot of these shoes are but there's lots of different stuff on there.

Your hair sounds cool, MM. Pictures? :eyelashes:

I love the shoes from Born's and Mod Cloth! Gosh, this is really hard narrowing it down to just one pair for right now. I found a pair that I really liked from Dansko (I remember SheWolf and others discussing this brand) but they're a little pricey.

I believe these were $145 on Zappos.

I like those Danskos. So I guess you're not looking for something to wear every day, more like dressy sandals?

I'm kind of looking for both. People around here dress when they do everyday things and I'm starting to feel like a slob. Most of my shoes are flats from Target and Old Navy.

Mock & I share the same shoe gazing tendencies. We spotted some good ones in Brooklyn. I love all of these brands you guys are talking about. Now off to gaze at shoe porn and if there is free shipping watch out!

I'm a huge Dansko fan and I usually get mine from the outlet. They don't currently have that particular shoe you linked, but they have tons of others and they're always adding more. The outlet prices are usually about half the cost of anyplace else, and I've never ever noticed any real imperfections on the shoes I've bought. I totally recommend checking it out. :D

Have you tried Clark's, vmh? They have a wide variety of styles and are usually really comfy.

I didn't know where else to put this, so think of this as a recommendation of something nice to smell and that makes your dishes clean. The other day I was buying dishwashing liquid and I looked at all the "green" soaps, and all the different varieties of Dawn, which I like. I usually get the green apple. Well, did you know they have a scent called "New Zealand Springs"? :que:
Yup, no lie, and it smells clean and lovely. I love doing my dishes now! :whitey:
