Great - I'll give those chords a try. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that:
"I'm late for a medieval play"
should be:
"I'm late for a medieval passion play"

(as I'm sure you all know, a passion play is a dramatisation of the trial, crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ and was performed in medieval times; I'm guessing there's also some double entendre intended here around the words passion and play :))

Hi there, zarathustra. First of all, welcome to the forum! Thanks for your input. I personally can't hear the word "passion" in the Wembley Arena 2010 version of "1353" but if I remember correctly, Jemaine did change the lyrics at one of FOTC's subsequent gigs to "passion play" so he has sung those lyrics before and there are a few variations of lyrics out there since they tend to change things up at different shows. :)

Thanks for the welcome Venus.

Yes, you're right, I was listening to a different gig and hadn't realised! My apologies. I did wonder how you'd managed to miss the word, and now I know - it's because it wasn't there

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to transcribe the words. I'm off to get my guitar and give a run through ...

No problem at all, zarathustra. It must be a fun song to play on guitar. :)
