The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival will visit 13 American cities, playing outdoor arenas with capacities of around 20,000 in each. It is billed as a full festival experience featuring two stages, street performers, vendors and sideshows such as psychics and freaks, tasty treats and more.

Also taking part in what is largest outdoor comedy tour ever stage by promoting giants Live Nation are Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney, Kristen Schaal, Al Madrigal, Brody Steven and Chris D'Elia

‘It took the extraordinary talents of Dave Chappelle and Flight Of The Conchords' Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement to create such an amazing night for comedy fans in such incredible summertime venues,’ said Geof Wills, president of Live Nation Comedy.

‘We have an amazing supporting cast of comedians on two stages, and lots of extras that will make this a night to remember for comedy fans everywhere.’

The tour is being promoted by the Funny Or Die website, whose chief executive Dick Glover said: ‘It's the perfect blend of comedy and crazy that will for sure resonate with comedy fans looking for a one of a kind experience.’

The tour kicks off on August 23 at the Austin360 Amphitheatre in Texas, and will end at Desert Sky Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 22.. Tickets go on sale on Thursday.

Me! :supz: :D

Only now I'll start obsessing over the whole 2-stage thing, lol. What if I get what I think are great seats and it turns out they're on the other stage?? :worry:

Nah...they'll be main-stage as well as Dave- right?

And I was JUST whining to Tom about how they'd probably never tour again as FOTC, lol! YAY!!! So excited!!

They will definitely be on main stage as headliners. I wonder how the two stages will work but we should definitely hear about it soon. :)

I really hope you and everyone else who's planning on going has a positive experience purchasing tickets. I know that can be the most stressful time but once that's out of the way, it's such a relief. I'm so excited for all of you who are planning on going!

So much FOTC excitement!!! I too was just saying how I missed them, and I hoped for a tour.

HBO is re-running the series, and I watch them even though I have them on dvd, every time they are on bam! I sit and watch!!!

Yay so glad they are touring. I am figuring on about 4 shows...hopefully more...if possible right Sierra ??

This looks like a fantastic show on all fronts and I wish it were coming anywhere near me. :? The worst thing is I will be in Texas a month before the show, so if it were a month earlier I could go. No Nashville shows?? Or Atlanta?? Come on! :( But I am psyched for those of you who can go and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.

I really hope you manage to get tickets to all 4 shows you're aiming for (or even more!), Ryche! :D

Just thought I'd post this. When I initially visited the Funny or Die site for the festival, I was sure I saw a date for Las Vegas but this was swiftly changed. Turns out I wasn't seeing things as someone took a screenshot of the initial line-up:

Image

The Seattle show won't be going ahead since that's now the date of the Irvine show but the inclusion of LA and Las Vegas is interesting. Maybe they're being added at a later date or the more likely scenario is that this was the initial plan but it's since been scrapped.

Yay, glad you can make this tour as well, tynant! Hope you get to meet WTFers at a gig. Happy to hear you're able to make a gig too, skos! :)

Links to the Live Nation/Ticketmaster page for each show can now be found on the FOTC website homepage here. Ticket prices vary according to the venues. You can find out ticket prices by clicking on "Price Range" underneath the date and time of the show you're going to. For example, for the Colorado gig, the price range shows: $39.50-$112.75. Some shows will have areas like the lawn which are amongst the cheaper priced tickets and have general admission seats.

Wishing everyone all the best tomorrow! Keep us posted on how it goes. :D

That's not too terrible. While I'd prefer an actual seat to sitting on the lawn, I'll take whatever I can get. I'm not picky, I just want a ticket.

Sure could use a refresher course on buying tickets for things like this. :nails:

Or, I should search for Cuse's tips for buying tickets!
